Thnx, I have been away for some time. Thanks for your warm welcome. And congratz for winning the league title.

I will keep an eye on the Mexicans for sure, I might will post here some time. I was really sad Hector Moreno will leave us this summer. One of the better defenders we have the past couple of years. Although Guardado is more the eye catcher of PSV, I think it will be harder for us to replace Hector. I think Hendrix will be a fine replacement of el Principito.

He can play both sides, though for Pachuca he plays on the left and for the NT on the right. I would say left is his main position and many here argue that he plays the best on that side but IMO he can play both well.

I think you will be happy about his tremendous pace and good work rate, he can shoot well from outside the box and isn't a top dribbler but he does take defenders on usually using his speed to win. Where he needs work is his final decision making. Something we all hope PSV can correct.

  3. In Voetbal International it was said Chucky had to move because it became a national sport on the pitch to chop him down. Dunno if that's true, but he will like it better here as defenders donot have it as their main pass time (well except for Moreno and Guardado:D, that's why they were hired, and that Sanchez guy of Ajax that is South American). Chucky can now concentrate on refining his final decision making in stead of concentrating to save his limbs.;)

Yeah pretty much in every game he was receiving some ugly fouls
There were a lot of strong fouls but i think this was the worst one

This was lozano's leg after the foul
    [IMG]

I don't know how that stupid referee only gave the other player a yellow when it was clearly a red. there were a lot of situations like this one which is why im glad he got the f out of liga mx

  5. I think Chucky after making a run and not chopped down goes back and do it again to check it wasnot a mistake by the defender:ROFLMAO:

He was the most fouled player for three seasons in a row

  7. I think he probably believes he went from hell to Heaven and decides he never ever is going to leave the Eredivisie (= Division/League of Honour:cool:, we are posh, admit it:p)

Good to read he can play at both sides. Pace, work rate and shooting, seems like a new Lestienne who did well at us in the 15-16 season. At least he has the characteristics of the type of player we missed last season.

He was already linked for a move to either the MLS or back to Mexico for quite a while. Last summer he could join a MLS team, PSV director Brands said today. PSV was able to convince Andres to stay another season but agreed they would let him go this summer..

So from the point of view of PSV, they had no choice to accept the offer of Betis. Although we still owe some money of those thieves as they never payed for a former player of us. I am not sure why Guardado suddenly choose a club like Betis over a move back to the other side of the occean. Maybe he could earn some more money and live in country where they speak Spanish. He has a little kid, but then again a move back to either Mexico or the USA seemed more likely. Bit of a strange move, but it is his choice.

Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the 3 years Guardado played for my favourite club. It was a pleasure to see such a player in our shirt. Hopefully we will see him again some day in Eindhoven.

A move to La Liga will always be better than a move to MLS.... well assuming he gets all the playing time he needs to stay in form and they don't lose every single game they play... that could hurt morale.

Haha Deportivo still hasn't paid Atlas over half of what they "paid" for Guardado when he transferred back in 2008. Those small spanish clubs just don't have a lot of money.

It's a long article singing the praise of him.
The title is: The hole Andres leaves behind at PSV (fsf: to be filled by?)

The last sentence of the article says it all:

"Guardado was with his experience, play and his 138 Nat. team matches for Mexico the last 3 seasons indeed the absolute patron in the PSV selection"

Chuki will dominate. My only concern is if he'll show up in games that really matter.

  24. Interview with Piet de Visser, master scout:
    https://www.voetbalprimeur.nl/nieuw...-je-hoeft-de-hekken-niet-open-te-zetten-.html
    [IMG]

The Visser agrees with the PSV transfer: 'Impressed me, very fast boy'

    Friday, July 7, 2017 at 19:55

Piet de Visser thinks PSV has hit a good strike with the arrival of Hirving Lozano. The master scout saw the 21-year-old attacker many times at work.

Lozano is the fifth Mexican ever after Carlos Salcido, Francisco Maza Rodríguez, Andrés Guardado and Héctor Moreno. "It most likely has helped that those guys have done good before at PSV. I assume Lozano called them or talked to them at the national team," says De Visser against ELF Football.

"He is a very interesting player," the Dutch scout

continues. "As a youth player, I've seen Lozano a number of times. At which tournaments that was I would have to look up in my reports, but the last time I looked at Lozano more often was during the Copa América Centenario last summer. Lozano then impressed me as an substitute. "

"He is a very fast boy on the wings," De Visser describes. "But efficiently fast, as I call it. He maintains control over his body at high speed. You also have guys who are very fast, but have no clue how to handle that. With Lozano, you do not have to open the gates . "
