That's called "saying all of the right things". Let's just hope that he does all of the right things as well this off-season.

Admitting there's a problem is the first step. Let's hope he takes the remaining ones.

Good for Clint. Put all the BS behind him. So much for the "conflict" between Bruce and Clint.

There definitely is a problem between Oz and Clint.

It'll be good to see Clint against El Salvador.

It's refreshing to hear a professional athlete be critical of himself in a public fora. Unfortunatley his coach, national team coach, and GM are not as professional.

While maybe not right for them to go public, apparently they were correct in their assessment of Clint's commitment at the time. Looks like he got the wake up call that was needed. Now, let's see it translated to the field.

I really am surprised by how well Mathis treats the situations off the field. It is a wonder that:

    1. He didn't become a thorn to Bruce's side in Korea, even though he wasn't playing.

    2. Most normal people would have ripped Nick and OZ. We do it here, because of the shoddy job they have done. For them to criticize anyone is ridiculous, but Clint never said one bad word.

I was also surprised by the call from Bruce. That is great if it is true, because it shows that Bruce is really taking a role in helping players.

Thanks Clint. I'll let you know where to send our refund for paying to watch you go through the motions of being a professional athlete.

Like I said, you owe us.

You are absolutely right! we sincerely hope tne Metrstars management take a look at themselves and begin to show improvement.
To begin with, Nick should apologize for saying "Clint costed me the playoff" - this kind of statement is a joke, so unprofessional.

Lot's of great info in this article:

Suprising that they mention Faria being close to a Green Card but not Williams. They also mention trying to sign an attacking mid. Is Williams on the way out?

Were you people satisfied with the way AW and Ramos meshed? Assuming Metro gets the attacking mid and the D-mid, would you sit AW or plan to play 3-5-2?

None of these moves was unexpected, but the speed of them makes me think that Nick already has a verbal agreement with the new coach. He's already implementing a plan on player personnel, so he's got to know what the coach wants IMHO.

As for Clint, well I hope what he's saying is true, because he's a phenomenal talent. But, he must make amends with Bruce, because he's the Nat's coach. Also, almost every player that played for Arena liked him, and still does.

But, Clint looks ready to move to Europe next season, and his skills are good enough. But, if he's going to England he needs Arena's help because of the work permit thing.

If Clint is serious, he needs to tone down the wild nightlife and drinking, put fitness first, and learn to control his temper. Really, he's a class player regardless of whether he does those things, but if he does them, the sky's the limit.

Dude right now we only have 2 legit starters on MID. Davis and AW. Why would we need to sit AW or play 3-5-2?
