Doesn't sound like he had much of an impact on the game and was subbed at 65'. Sam was injured, so it might be that he sees more of the field due to lack of other options going forward.
Well, scoring one goal in seven appearances for Darmstadt, a team that would be mid-table in the 2.BuLi, is about up there with scoring 5 for HSV in 22.
he's had notice of good performances ever since the start of the year. he's had club interest from February and recently Leverkusen wanted to pick him up. I'm not saying 5goals in 22 are anything remarkable but folks seem to rate his potential as far better than that. I do think 2 Bundesliga is better for Boyd though.
Nope. Team started winning without him - today's mugging of Freiburg makes it 3 straight - so Frings isn't willing to shake things up. The uptick in form is probably too late to save them, as Augsburg only need a point from tomorrow's game to leave Darmstadt 9 points behind with a much inferior GD, but it's good to see them make a fight of it.
Yes, seems like a minor ankle injury. https://www.da-imnetz.de/sport/darm...dt-muss-niemeyer-boyd-verzichten-8141161.html
Still out: Frings: "Terrence Boyd und Peter Niemeyer werden am Samstag erneut fehlen. Sonst schöpfen wir aus dem Vollen." #D98BSC— SV Darmstadt 98 (@sv98) May 11, 2017 Frings: "Terrence Boyd and Peter Niemeyer will be missing again on Saturday. Otherwise, we draw the full." #D98BSC
I don't get it. The Mexicans have a bunch of forwards who are 5'6" and built like 12 year olds, who never break, while our tall, strong strikers are always injured.
http://www.espnfc.us/german-bundesl...ing-to-us-team-will-be-tough-after-relegation Terrence Boyd has told ESPN FC it will be tough to force his way back into the United States national team after Darmstadt were relegated from the Bundesliga. U.S. forward Boyd made his Bundesliga debut after leaving RB Leipzig for Darmstadt in January after a long spell on the sidelines with cruciate ligament injuries. He played in seven matches, scoring against his former club Borussia Dortmund, but was then ruled out with an ankle injury. Having made his U.S. debut under head coach Jurgen Klinsmann in 2012, Boyd also made a cameo appearance during the coach's final months in charge in 2016. And he said he knew it would be difficult to put himself back into international contention, saying current coach Bruce Arena "has my number, but it won't get any easier in the second tier." He added: "Bruce Arena contacted me a while ago, but to be honest I need to do my work and also be a key player for my team. I haven't been that for a number of reasons." Boyd is under contract at Darmstadt until 2018, and said: "I need to show myself, although I am aware it won't get any easier."
Anybody know a good soccer related personal coach in the LA area? 💪🏽🇺🇸🏃🏾— Terrence Boyd (@TBoyd91) May 22, 2017
Well if you're a SoCal purist, he's in the San Diego area, but it ain't that far away. Not sure Landon's looking for that kind of work though.
