Careful now. You'll upset those American Outlaws folks and make them miss their Barcelona game with that kind of talk.

I used to be a country before club guy, until I had a club to root for.
It definitely is asking a lot. Another less crazy option, let Gaddis play RB and Keegan play next to Creavalle.

Whatever he rolls out, it will test a lot of those BS statements about role flexibility, like "CJ can play some at the wing" or "Alberg played some 8 last year pretty good". "Jim, follow up question, you didn't win a game with Alberg that deep could you.." , "GODDAMMIT I SAID NEXT MAN UP AND CJ WILL NEVER WEAR DOWN AND YOURE WRONG ABOUT STUFF AND I HAVE EARNIES SUPPORT!!!!"

That presser will see the return of Spicey Curtin.

It's hard to root for the national team when it's a bunch of dudes I don't like who play for other MLS teams

But when the Union becomes the official feeder club of the USMNT, rooting for country will be just like rooting for club ... same guys, different kits.

Curtin will probably go with a 4-1-3-1 given those conditions.

Is that a planning for a red card?

I hate leagues that don't break in time for national duty.

This one's not on the league. It's US Soccer who scheduled a warm up on 6/4. I saw a interview w/Greg Vanney and he said all the teams agreed to release players early for camp before the season started.

Haris is available so that's one less hole to fill.

I'm thinking its either 0-0 or 1-0 NYCFC. If NYC scores early then I think the weird field could easily result in 3 or 4-0

Curtin all but said yesterday that the lineup will be:

    Sapong
    Fafa-Ilsinho-Pontius
    Medunjanin-Creavalle
    Fabinho-Onyewu-Elliott-Gaddis
    Blake

NYC will be without Pirlo, Matarrita and Wallace for the game. Having played last night, there may be others rested. Alexander Ring and RJ Allen were both suspended for last night's game and should play on Saturday.

Marquez has also been dropped from his starting spot which people are a lot less upset about. I always thought he was pretty average. But I can't understand why Gaddis continues to start over Rosenberry. Terrible in the air, overcommits, doesn't stay on his feet, doesn't go to ground... All of the things you would expect a professional player to do he just doesn't do.

Ray starts because Gooch starts. When Onyewu began the season with Rosenberry, the R side of the defense was a dumpster fire. No chemistry. Keegan couldn't get forward in attack (what he did better) because it left too much space behind that Gooch couldn't cover. Teams isolated Rosenberry and destroyed him like a fish out of water-and with that Curt's confidence in him. Ray was brought back "to clear Rosey's head".....but like anything else under this coach.....when some success occurs due to Gadfly's recovery speed on D (what he does well) and the fire in front of the reinstated Onyewu gets put out.....there's never any need to do anything different-don't ya know that???????
