Small note: Does anyone else wish they'd do this presentation on the pitch?

Surprised John Terry doesn't try and get up on the podium to lift the cup, too....

Wonderful and deserved result. Really sweet way to end an otherwise deflating season.

Defense could have been a little bit better, but this was a great attacking performance against the best team in the league.

Can't judge a formation or a player on one game, but playing a back three really takes advantages of Mertesacker's strengths and minimizes his weaknesses.

A lot of contested goalmouth action, and it probably doesn't include wasted possessions (like Elneny at the end).

Well that was quite lovely. Well done lads. Great to see some positivity around Wembley too.

Most of the season wasn't fun. But i'm pretty bummed to not have Arsenal to watch for a while.

Wooo, great game. The boys came out on fire and brought great spirit/passion/intensity. Although the first goal was a bit dodgy, we should've been up by 2 or 3 at halftime. There was a lull around the 45-55 minute mark where I started to feel like Chelsea were going to seize control of the game, but we did enough and Moses gave us a big assist.

This is a game that honestly could've gone the other way very easily (if Pedro buries that shot or if Costa scores from point blank on Ospina), but I think we deserved to win overall and it's a feather in the cap of the manager and players.

Chelsea seemed to get caught flatfooted by a high octane start

Welstroz had a big game - showed why SAF trusted him - trouble is he just cannot score.

But he really lead the defensive effort from the front and was a constant outlet.

If Arsenal had a player like Costa it would make such a huge difference

Disagree. Our defense was GREAT today. The back 3 was solid and consistent. Per was exactly how I expected/hoped he'd be.

.... I just came back from getting gas over at Chimacum Chevron after getting a couple of drinks at the local Safeway on the way there for myself and Alice, donned in my Arsenal best (Red & White), and after exiting the store, I was jubilantly singing this:

    (c'mon everybody join in!!!)

    "........and we are ARSENAL
    ARSENAL FC
we're by far The Greatest Team
    the world has ever seen!!!"

it was like none of these goddamn people here in Port Townsend know who the hell Arsenal are, c'mon!!!

It always seems like it that the ONLY goddamn trophy we know how to win is The FA Cup, we did it!!! BTW, I have some screen shots of us hoisting the Cup while the confetti (appropriately red & white confetti at that!) showers down on us, I will post it up here later on.

....and at least nobody dropped the lid in the process of hoisting the mug, unlike the last two times we did (2014 & 2015).

Arsene Wenger is now the all-time leader in FA Cups won by a manager, how about THAT!!!
    (a record 7 times - 1998, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2014, 2015, and now 2017)

I thought the BFG was gonna be a little bit rusty after just recovering from knee surgery but god damn it I was quite impressed by his play today, we should have a back 3 on some occasions next season, it proved to be quite effective, and definitely bailed us out more than a few times in the later stretch of the season.

However Costa and Pedro did have two great chances.
