Well - Leicester don't have a U17's side. There is a Under 16's and Under 18's. This appears to be a game against Boston United Reserves for those who haven't played in those sides much this season.

722472016067096582 is not a valid tweet id I haven't seen a roster or heard anything about this camp so can't confirm but his agent retweeted this so assuming it's true. If so, it'll be his first call up of any kind above U16.

The defender also gets to enjoy the banner year of the first team for next season. He is hoping to push for a spot on the club’s U19 squad, which will compete in the UEFA Youth League for the first time.
Looks like he is going to join the U18s again, this time in the Czech Republic: http://www.sterling-sport.com/#!news/tcrhu Sterling Sport Clients Called to Czech Republic July 31, 2016 Kyle Gruno and Jose Carranza have been called to the USA U18 National team trip to Czech Republic to compete in the Václav Ježek Tournament. *shrug* @JREskilson @USAprospects @ussoccer_ynt @WillParchman Kyle Gruno USA U18 NT player to be on trial with @Siracusa_Calcio in Italy #SerieC— Pan American Calcio (@PanAmCalcio) August 8, 2017
I just never got the feeling he was developing well. Hadn't even moved up to Leicester's U-21's at any point last season, and Leicester does not have a good academy, so he should move quickly, if he's very good.
While it's not one of the very best there's nothing wrong with the Leicester academy, they have been producing a respectable number of players for England youth teams in recent years - Ben Chilwell, Darnell Johnson and Harvey Barnes being the most obvious names. Going on trial at Siracusa Calcio hardly suggests any move would be in an upwards direction.
I meant that he should move through Leicester's academy quickly to the first team, if he's good, not that he should move to another club quickly. Any "real" prospect in that academy should stand out. People forget that Gruno was really highly touted just a few years ago. Most regarded him as one of the best 99's. Right now, not so sure thats the case anymore.
Palermo have made 43 managerial changes since 2001. That's a record that would make even a Brazilian club jealous. Even signing Freddy Adu wouldn't worsen a Palermo manager's job security.
Serie C is not easy for an 18 year old centreback. There are important teams like Lecce, Catania, Livorno, etc. Even Serie D is harder than U19 Primavera league (the maximum academy level in Italy, where no reserves teams/league exist). People don't realize Serie C is no USL. Belotti was in Serie C at age 20. Lapadula was in Serie C just over two years ago. Pavoletti was in Serie C three years ago.
As for Palermo, Belotti and Dybala were there just two years ago. In recent years Cavani, Pastore, etc. Nothing else to be said.
