Where are we discussing the next Dutch NT manager since the Bulgaria/Italy thread was closed down? Anyway... read that Roger Schmidt (ex Bayer Leverkusen) and Gullit/Ten Cate are being considered. Didn't know anything about Schmidt, but Gullit/Ten Cate seem to be a highly risky and underwhelming choice.
I didn't see this and suggested that he start a thread on the topic. Well done lads!!!! I moved his post over to this thread as I have the POWER!
No hate at all. I moved BP's post over and it has an early time stamp which is why it is first. I applaud you for taking the initiative to start this thread!!!!!!!
Tüchel from BVB seems to be disenchanted with the chairman of the club for some time now, according to this post by Ebbro in another thread. I wouldnot mind to see him running the Orange show! "On some British soccer show on sirius today they had a Bundesliga pundit on - he said it was an alt right group and they are against multiculturalism. He also said Borussia's chairman agreed to play the match and commented how there is a disconnect between him and Tuchel that has been going on for some time. I'm guessing this doesn't have much to do with Pulisic or the American base despite that its supposedly mentioned in the letter. Probably they were trying to make it look like an Islamic terrorist act to stir people up further against muslims"
Schmidt, Tuchel - are you guys serious? Like it was yesterday I remember myself running through Hoorn, Medemblik and Enkhuizen yelling famous chants and fearing for my life.
This is from American Football, but I think the idea also applies to the world football, and hopefully the Dutch new coach(es) can build a winning team again with similar thoughts/selections. Bill Belichick, the head coach and GM of the New England Patriots from 2000-present, with a record of 201-71, 5 champions, 458 players that put on a Patriots uniform and stepped into a game since the year 2000, explained what trait in players he is looking for: "For me, tough, smart, dependable. That's where I would start. Tough -- mentally and physically. Smart -- good decisions, good football understanding, high football IQ. Dependable -- [in] critical situations, you can count on those players to perform under pressure. You can count on those players to execute what you want to execute as a team. The tougher the game, the more critical the game, the more important the situation, the more I want the tough, smart, dependable player in the game, in the eye of the storm, making a decision that needs to be made for us to win. "We all want great players; we all want as many as we can get. But in the end, there's a cap on that -- I don't care where you are or what program you're in. We all have some good ones, maybe a few more than others here or there. But in the end, that's the way most teams are comprised. It's the bulk of the rest of the players that you need to decide based on your scheme, the style of play you want to be."
Haha....no, I dont know what you mean Rotterdammer. I asked for proof, you can show us none. Me and JC-14 win this debate
