First leg of the quarterfinals and Kicker is predicting Pulisic as a starter. Kickoff at 2:25 p.m. ET: http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...lvorschau_borussia-dortmund-17_as-monaco.html
I doubt it. It's probably a bad idea to have your star player just return from injury and throw him right back into the starting lineup. Let Reus come off the bench, but he's probably not fit enough to start. Not to mention risk of re-injury.
Not to mention it's Reus, who at this point is the glass man. I think Reus maybe comes on for Christian or Dembele around the 70th minute.
Bei Abfahrt unseres Busses hat sich ein Vorfall ereignet. Eine Person wurde dabei verletzt. Weitere Infos folgen. #bvbasm— Borussia Dortmund (@BVB) April 11, 2017 "On departure of our bus an incident has occurred. One person was injured. More information to follow"
I think Pulisic is probably coming off the bench behind Kagawa and Dembele. I think Burke, Smelly, Piczek, Bartra, Ginter, Sokratis, Weigl, Castro, Kagawa, dembele, Auba with Castro tucked in on the right. I would love to be wrong.
Yep, Bartra was hurt and is being taken to the hospital. Match is probably going to be rescheduled. What a crazy turn of events and a sad one. Not sure what caused the explosion.
Google translate, fwiw ... Apparently there was an explosion on the team bus of Borussia Dortmund, several discs should be broken. The incident occurred on Wittbräuckerstraße (just 10 kilometers from the Dortmund stadium). The explosive has been deposited on the street in front of the bus. The police determined whether it was a targeted attack. The club confirmed an injured in the team bus at Twitter. It is Marc Bartra (26) - he would have been in the squad for the game! The Spaniard is on his way to the hospital
Police have confirmed an explosive device was placed near the bus. WTF man. It's sports, not life and death. Sport is supposed to be an escape. What sort of crazed ass fan would do this?
Geez. Did not expect that type of news when coming to this thread. I hope Batra is ok. I also hope they quickly find out whoever did this. Getting really sick of these types of people.
https://www.thelocal.de/20170411/breaking-three-explosions-near-dortmund-football-team-bus Three explosions. Obviously not official.
From the Guardian The stadium has not been evacuated - in fact, fans have been asked to stay inside for the moment. The club and police have made an announcement explaining that there has been an explosion and one person has been hospitalised. The police say “we are here in force; if you have any questions, ask us.” Presumably the authorities are still trying to establish exactly what has happened and whether there is any further threat. The match has not been officially postponed but it seems highly unlikely that it will go ahead.
Glasscheibe is a window pane, but Bild used the short form. I've known of players getting shot at on their bus, rocks and bricks thrown at them, having relatives kidnapped before a match to throw it, bombs in the stadium, etc. But this is the first time they've tried to bomb the bus. Geez.
Now reading it's officially been cancelled for today: Das Spiel ist nun offiziell abgesagt und soll morgen, 12.4. um 18:45 Uhr nachgeholt werden #BVBASM #UCL http://www.dw.com/de/liveticker-explosionen-an-bvb-bus/a-38383788
It will be played tomorrow. Wonder if these young men have enough time to recover, 24 hours is not a lot.
