I wish someone did a heat map of players. Lingard is not a winger anyway, I doubt he made too many runs down the right.

    Edit:
Actually the statistics available compared to the popularity of the sport is really stupid, need more in depth stats to access players.

Good news for Januzaj. Hopefully he capitalizes on this opportunity.

This is it for Januzaj as far as I'm concerned, it's now or never and there shouldn't be any more excuses for him. He's going to be in what should be a great situation for him: a team where he has a legitimate shot at playing, under a manager who will back him. I can see him making the 10 spot behind Defoe his own.
Hopefully, he can perform at a level that will bring him back to United. If he doesn't, then screw it, keep him away.

This should be his last chance. If he can't thrive under the tutelage of one of the great soccer minds of our generation at Sunderland, he has no hope of ever being successful.

A fine manager, held back only by the tendency of his scouting teams to get addicted to fruit ninja.

Mou said in his press conference he know what he will do with Januzaj but wouldnt elaborate, given his underwelming performances at Sunderland I dont think it will be good ...

Sending Januzaj to Sunderland was an idiotic exercise. Getting minutes in a trash team is worthless.

Sending him back to the manager who first gave him an opportunity (and under who he was most consistent), and to a team where he could have had a major influence, made sense. The way things worked out this season pretty much sealed his fate unfortunately and he'll move on this summer.

Pereira is playing in a defensively weak league which is open and attacking. Januzaj has spent most of the season barely having a kick of the ball.

Januzaj isn't an EPL newbie, sending him to another league to see if he can cut for us would be pointless. Never likely to be wanted by a top-half team. He has had 21 games for Sunderland this season and has not shown much and is getting booed by the Sundarland fans.

With a year plus change left on his contract and having failed with a number of managers we should get rid.

Unless anyone here thinks he deserves a new contract?

Januzaj is an attacking player and we should have loaned him to a club that actually tries to play football. Granada does which is why it was fine for Pereira.

Januzaj, sadly, is the next Macheda. Cut him loose.

Pereira, on the other hand, has done more than enough to be welcomed back to OT.

Used to be high on Januzaj, but this loan stint with Sunderland really hasn't shown nearly enough to convince he ought to be given another chance at United.
He's got some ability, sure, but his mental make up is nowhere near good enough. I think he can still find some success somewhere though, probably in another league.

Loaning him to such a shit heap made no sense whatsoever. Although injuries have wrecked him this year, how would he shine amongst those garbage players? He likely doesn't have a future here and we will likely sell him, but damn - we did him no favors with a loan to a garbage club.

There's almost no risk in keeping him around. He won't expect to be paid very well, he won't expect very many games and he can beat a man. I wouldn't mind seeing him get one last chance.

If we get rid of dead weight (Young, Rooney et al) and cash in on Mata, having Adnan as an option at RW isn't the worst thing in the world. I wouldn't mind it if it meant we got an elite 9, a veteran CB, a DLP and left the RW spot alone, waiting for a can't miss prospect.

Loaning him to a fantastic developmental club with excellent players didn't work, either. At this point it's on him.

i'd try to bring back zaha before giving him another chance. his ability to beat a man is overstated. and he's an idiot (in football terms).

I don't think his loan to Sunderland has been bad, he got playing time a lot of it, in a very tough environment, but he always appeared to me he isn't hungry and not physically aggressive enough to play in this league.

Still, if we do keep him around he is not a bad option, always remember we kept someone unlikely like Lingard.

The Telegraph are claiming that United are ready to listen to offers for Januzaj in the summer. We surely will be getting decent offers for him and hopefully will not just give him away on the cheap.

For me there are far too many stories about him having a bad attitude for my liking. Obvioulsy you need the talent as well but you hear how Gary Neville had the career he had through sheer dedication to make the most of his limited ability, how Ronaldo trains like a mad man to be the best, Cantona was the first to get to training and last to leave etc. Those are the type of characters I want at the club.
