It's worth pointing out at this point that the "U23" league in England is a farce, all the big teams skew the ages of their squads much younger than the theoretical maximum. Playing in one of those teams at 18/19 is respectable but not exceptional.

On the other hand they also include overage players. Falcao even played for Manchu's U-23's for a game or so.

He's seems to have his mojo back now, though.

Happy Weah was there to tap it in but that was atrocious goaltending.

Weah was the one who took the original shot and it looked like it was his goal. Don't know for sure but the tap in looked redundant.

That's outstanding because I was initially thinking that the one who shot the ball was really the one who caught the eye on that play. Outstanding first touch to set up the move on a very difficult pass to control. Not sure if that was a fluke (that touch) but if not that is next level stuff and quickness with the ball to match.

Agreed, almost looked like he was going to his pocket to book some poor kid for the celebration, though he was probably just marking the goal down in his book.

Does PSG even develop youngsters into first teamers?

Just look at their current first team squad

Presnel Kimpembe, Alphonse Areola, Christopher Nkunku, Adrien Rabiot, Jean-Kévin Augustin...

A bunch of very good players have come out of the PSG academy, however PSG are also all glitz and glamour and are generally reticent at starting them, except for the occasional cup match. A player like Coman never really got a chance to prove himself as a first-team player until he left PSG for Bayern.

I mentioned this in another thread, this guy is an enigma. He seemingly does so well for PSG, but can't even start for his age group with the USA.

He has excellent pace with good feet and he finishes well. I wish he would play like this for the USA though.
