The academic literature that you two are referencing - which electoral system represents its citizens the best - has been at this argument for fifty years without a solid answer.

To put the matter another way, I know several bright, well-informed, and decent people who enthusiastically supported Mitt Romney. None of them like Donald Trump. A couple reluctantly and apologetically voted for him, but none will spend any time defending him, aside from "Well, I think that Hillary is worse."

Wow. You sure seem to know a lot. You know more than James Clapper and Devin Nunes apparently. We sure are lucky to have you here to tell us what's REALLY going on.

I seem to have heard all of this before....you know....when we were being told Trump didn't have enough support to get elected. You are talking out of your ass. "The fall-out of his stupidities is having a high price for the US." What high price are we paying right now Cris?

btw - If telling a lie disqualifies a politician...YOU CAN KEEP YOUR DOCTOR .... ummm.....yeah.

It's flights direct to the US from those airports. Only a few airlines fly those flights and they are all middle eastern airlines. The UK added easyjet and british airlines to their ban because they fly out of those airports.

US airlines had dropped the routes in the last few years because they "could not compete". For example, United used to have a direct flight from Istanbul. Now that route is served by it's partner Lufthansa with a stopover in Frankfurt. This comes a few weeks after he met with airline executives who have complained about losing business to the middle eastern airlines.

I think we agree that FPTP is bad, so whatever implementation of it is also bad.

The Presidential election is similar to the primary system to choose a Presidential nominee, wherein you vote for delegates who then vote in the election. Most states are not winner take all, and are instead proportional(-ish).

This is true, but although there may not be a consensus #1 system (and there can't be, because value judgments will influence your preferences), there certainly are some that are worse than others, and FPTP is one of those.

They didn't find her own unsecured private server in her basement with classified information being transmitted through it? An offense that others who have done something similar have gone to jail for, but she did not?

Has any member of the Trump team accepted immunity deals from the government yet? How will you all react if Trump team members accept immunity deals from the government, and then Comey comes out and says they have no reason to prosecute any members of the Trump team? Would you all be ok with that? Would that pass Cris's smell test?

It doesn't really matter though you are right. I didn't bring up Hillary, you all did.

    Fair enough. :)

Except it is the electoral college that failed in 2000 and 2016. I'm not sure why you would change the voting system, but then maintain the point of failure that is causing the system change. Since the President is supposed to represent the country, it makes more sense that you would have preferential voting at the national level than maintain the state divisions.

So still no evidence of Russian collusion, but now Nunez is saying there was surveillance of Trump Tower. Hmm dems lose once again.

    Name one.

Comey said the investigation proved she did something stupid, but not illegal. So, anyway, name one person in jail for using a private server...

The investigation is still ongoing and the FBI did not say there was no evidence of collusion, just that they can not comment on it.
Pretty sure no one is arguing Trump Tower wasn't under surveillance considering the number of Russians with shady backgrounds that live in Trump Tower. What Trump has argued is that HE was being wiretapped. What Nunes found was that some of Trump's communications may have been collected incidentally, which is neither illegal, nor surprising.

That is NOT what he is saying. He is claiming that some form of surveillance was possible.

Now, I'm not saying that you in particular are a lying piece of shit. But lying pieces of shit are in the habit of prevaricating and outright distorting various items of information. So perhaps you should stop doing that.

Next time the Trumpwaffe decides to take a couple of days off from this thread, can we not go out of our way to tag them and summon them back?

I mean I enjoy a good punching bag as much as the next guy. But the peace and quiet was also nice for a change ...

    Exactly

Anyway Yoss already debunked this meme

A prosecution of Clinton based on the known evidence would have struggled to meet the necessary standard for criminal intent.

Hence likely why the FBI decided not to prosecute such a high profile case.

Wankler maybe you should look in the mirror because you and the rest of the dems are balls deep in the business of distorting information see Russia.
What Nunes found was that they was wrong and he is avoiding taking a full blown egg to the face. Also stop moving the goalpost.

Hey, if we have any hope of beating Trump in the future, we must be nice and respectful of safe spaces and allow little Trumpie snowflakes access to their alternative facts.

You think its ok for a government official to send classified information through an unsecured private server? Putting classified state secrets at risk and compromising national security? Its not just the server, its sending classified info on that unsecured server.
