Outside of Wolff missing Metro games to be in the MNT pool - I don't see a downside. There is bad blood between Bradley and Wolff. Chicago could use one of our allocations and the salary cap relief unloading Wolff would provide.
What about Wolff's constant injury problems? He could easily be like another Tab or Balboa next year, eating up league Max in salary and rarely leaving the injured reserves.
Re: Re: Let's Get Josh Wolff Well, after reading what you just said, I see no other alternative than that the metros have practically already signed him to the league max.
Re: Re: Let's Get Josh Wolff a bat??? that's so old school, I got a Blackjack..... we should beat him for just being a Bora fan!!!!
In short....no. Josh is very talented, no doubt. However his injury woes dampen his talent. We shouldn't go for him at all.
Why don't we just go out and get a bunch of useless players. It seems when we have talented ones we get nothing done.
Wolff is a talented, fast, personable, young American striker who makes superb runs off the ball. He's a very streaky finisher, isn't that big. He's never had a season in MLS without a major injury (he makes Mathis and Ramos look like iron-men). He's never led Chicago in scoring (even when Razov had gone to Spain). Oh--and he makes the league max. He might fit into your side well (a pairing of Mathis and Wolff up top would be effective). But you'd have to assume you'd have him on the field for maybe 30% of your games during WCQ years and 50% of your games during more easy seasons. And you want to pay maximum salary for that?
Isn't the league max 250 thousand? Wolfe makes the league max? Your absolutely sure about that? Richie
