You're giving them too much credit. Logrolling would be a plan. I see no evidence of a plan.

Judging from the article, all I see is the following: "Back when we could not do this, we all said we're gonna do this. Are you gonna be the schmuck that doesn't do this?"

In other words, this is the argument: "We all said we're gonna jump off this bridge. Are you really gonna be the asshole who doesn't jump off with the rest of us?"

Complete debacle. Having said that, Moonlight is a magnificent movie and totally deserve the Oscar over La La Land. Gutted for Denzel though for not getting the best actor Oscar. By the way, I guess we just found out tonight that Beatty is in fact Russian!
