LA to unveil at 9am PT tomorrow http://www.lagalaxy.com/post/2017/0...ew-secondary-jersey-wednesday-9-am-pt-insider
i'm confused. (or is it intrigued?) the hashtag is #outoftheblue for their normally-blue secondary jersey that appears from teasers to be still be blue.
In their photo shoot they used both the navy primary shorts and also white alternates with the same orange trim. No light blue in sight.
Kinda looks like this kit... Also that LA Galaxy kit seems like the replica, as we dont see any shoulder patches, or stars
Here's the official announcement nonsense - http://www.lagalaxy.com/post/2017/02/08/outoftheblue-la-galaxy-unveil-new-secondary-jersey
Houston may have just accidently leaked their own jersey. Looks like the first rumor was wrong just a bit. Or maybe not. Either way unveil tomorrow night at their party.
Glad Portland went with a clean look this year. Year 1 looked like sometng out of FIFA 1996, last year's primary was sharp with Mt. Hood across the chest. Seattle needs to do away with the Ectoplasm Cooler green.
A couple of people who have seen the authentic Dynamo kit said this is not the actual kit and the first leak that we saw is the real deal. So apparently this was an attempt by the Dynamo to "accidentally" leak their kit and trick people into thinking it's real when the actual kit will look like this (with the TX flag and cuffs from the "fake" kit):
Footy is saying the Dynamo were pissed that the actual was leaked and so are trying a (hopefully tongue and cheek) head fake. To be totally honest, I like the fake one more if for no other reason it's unique.
What a lose-lose move that is... What if people like the "fake" one and are disappointed that the real one is what it is? Methinks they got a little too cute...
Off topic, but why are they called Dynamo in the first place? That name is present in eastern Europe, but Texas?
The original name of the team was Houston 1836. Which is the year of founding of the city of Houston but also the year of Texas independence from Mexico. That name proved unpopular among some groups in Houston and was quickly changed to Dynamo. The reasoning given was the historical use of the name by other soccer teams, the connection of an electrical dynamo to the energy industry, the meaning of "an extremely energetic person" and there had been an earlier team named "Houston Dynamos" that had played here in the 1980s. The name "Dynamo" is also slightly different but easily pronounced in Spanish.
FC Dallas Leaked Just kidding. This is a mock-up I made from the description I was given. I'm told it'll have a blue-to-white gradient, top-to-bottom. Yes, I'm that bored at work.
Darn, its official - Space City Blue returns to the home kit for the first time since 2010, with blue horizontal pinstripes accenting the club’s traditional orange shirt. The rest of the kit features white shorts with Space City Blue accent stripes, leaving behind the traditional orange stripes, and orange socks with Space City Blue pinstripes to match the jersey.
