I also have not gotten any emails about single game tickets. This leads me to believe that season and group ticket sells are still going strong.
This thread has more posts (1,100) than the 2017 Chicago Fire has season ticket holders....allegedly. I guess now I am one of the 'lucky few' to be counted as part of both.
Why would you buy Fire season tickets when you can get single game tickets on groupon for less per game?
ok I'm officially worried about MNUFC. Why are they generating so much less buzz than other recent expansion sides? I thought they were set to be SKC-like in their support
Some markets like to generate buzz outwards (visible everywhere), some like to generate it inwards (visible only to the market itself). Minnesota strikes me as more of an "inwards" type of place. In general, it is best to take a "wait and see" approach with expansion sides. Even a first season isn't really indicative of the longer term health of an expansion side.
8700 in Montreal, on the way to match last year's 9500, aiming for 10k. http://www.tvasports.ca/2017/01/30/10000-abonnements-de-saison-pour-limpact-1
what's the price difference of Season Tickets between LAG and LAFC?... I would think that LAG ST command higher prices
As a '96 Metro fan, your heart is my heart, as we say. But we're going to have to tolerate them for the good of our league.
Oh c'mon, the CUSA castoffs certainly don't judge themselves better than MLS. This. The LAFC ST count is on deposits, not actual tickets sold. I have zero idea how many of those will translate to actual season tickets. As far as price comparisons to the Galaxy, from what I've heard LAFC will be more expensive. In some cases much more expensive. Although they could be trial ballooning numbers.
I went to the first Metro home game, enjoyable night until the most anti-climactic ending to a game I ever saw. The next "Metro" home game I went to was when the Union played there for the first time. Yeah, that's the kind of impression that night left.
Yeah, but there are few that really loathe everything the Galaxatives represent - at least 5 by my count. Having public transit go to a stadium is also kind of cool. james
Why do people keep saying this.. has there been any recent expansion team that didn't end up getting more season tickets than deposits?
I agree, but I don't think deposits translate 100% into STH. It may be 99%, but there is an amount of discrepancy. People have issues, move, etc.
You're right.. They don't convert 100% into STH.. They have been converting at over 100%. Again.. In the current round of expansions started by TFC, I'm not aware of a single team that started their inaugural season with less STH's than they had deposits. That's what, 10 teams now? LAFC could always be the first, but I think we've gone well past the point where we should be implying that deposits don't represent a team's inaugural season STH and, realistically, accept that they under-represent.
You generally don't need a deposit-per-ST either. The first thing the FO will do during the deposit to ST phase is try to sell you more seats.
