I'm sure this has been hashed out in this forum before but I should rephrase it to realistically who what player do you think could play in England and do well, i.e Morientes or Figo? I've wondered how Pavel Nedved would excell in the English game but hes probably going to be to old by the time Juventes wants to get rid of him.

Morientes 'cause LFC could use him right about now

Carlos Tevez 'cause I think he's perhaps the best young player in the world.

a month or so ago i said that i wished Nedved could play in England, but i was roundly scoffed at, under the presumption that he couldn't handle the physical game in the EPL ( he'd snap like a pretzel, someone said, i think ).

    everyone wants ronaldinho.

adriano from inter is too settled into Serie A

on a more contraversial note, i have thought shefki kuqi from ipswich town might make the Prem but he's a little old.

If Ronaldo can make it, Nedved definetly can and who ever said that he can't is an idiot.

I agree. I think Davids play style fits the Prem well, and he would do well in England. He is the one I would like to see, because I think he would do the best/is the best fit.

This is very funny. I can see Nedved at the Tottenham Court Road tube station asking some busker which exit leads to White Hart Lane.

More of an anticipatory thing, but I can't wait for Freddy Adu, if he choses the Prem.

I think maybe a player like Michael Ballack could physically handle the Premiership, but I'm not sure how he would adapt to the style of play

I don't follow MLS as much as what I should do, but how has Freddy done this season, has he performed well, even well enough to consider that he may one day play in the Premiership.

Yes I understand we are talking about a so called 15 year old, but I was just asking how has he done in his first season?

Adriano and/or Tevez, IMHO their style of play would suit the EPL, they don't fcuk about, they play route 1 football!

a guy like gokdeniz of turkey/trabzonspor or rosicky of czech rep./dortmund would likely do some good business in the premiership

He's done reasonably well the second half as the jitters have subsided and he's seems to have stopped worrying about all the hype and started to enjoy the game again. Saturday's playoff game went to a shoot out and he calmly stuck it past the keeper. The fact that he was on the pitch at the end of such a game speaks volumes for his improvement.

I reckon Gattuso and Davids would do quite well honestly.

They're both proven players and are rugged on the defensive and attacking end respectively.

The reason why so many proven players in Europe don't make the cut in the Prem, is because in leagues such as Serie a and La Liga, the star players get to work with ACRES of space and time.

This is something that is non-existant in the Prem.

id like to see my favorite non-chelsea player, pavel nedved. as well as some others:
ballack, rosicky, sheva, robinho(hopefully for the blues) and for the future

hopefully some young american players because well im biased(dempsey, gaven, szetela, marshall, adu, johnson) probably asking too much, but a man can dream. hell maybe spector can get some more playing time int he near future, or reading will qualify for the prem this coming season.
