At 26 that might be a bit pessimistic.

Tosaint Ricketts. He's a guy with lots of pace and no first touch.

So in other words, he'll fit right in in MLS.

The contract options for Cheyrou, Mannella, Lovitz and Simonin have been declined.

Think Larson mentioned they could all be re-signed eventually, though that was a day ago. Think Morgan was one of the ones who had his contract declined but I'd be shocked if he isn't a red next year

Why (I ask honestly)? He's 25 (about to turn 26 in February) and has barely seen the pitch. I like him and he's one of the first products of TFC's academy system but if the team thought he was the future he'd be in by now. I wouldn't be surprised if they just let him move on and gave his bench spot to the next up and comer with potential.

I can see why the club want to keep him around. Decent cover for left side, Canadian and local product and low cap hit. I don't think from what I seen he has ever developed anything more than a athletic wide player with limited skill. I would think he might try what Will Johnson wants to and see what the free market offers as clearly he isn't going to take Morrow's spot anytime new

IIRC he leads TFC in total appearances too.

Wikipedia says Osorio overtook him this year but, yes, he's high on the list.

Like I said, I like him, I just think he has passed his biggest potential date with TFC.

As for Johnson, I'm not sure that he wants to try free agency so much as TFC didn't offer him anything and so he's a free agent.

He was injured for most of the end of the year but was solid whenever he played. I can see Morgan taking Bloom's spot as sub fullback. I get the impression him and Bloom were virtually even and the latter stayed in the 18 mostly for continuity's sake.
I also think the braintrust is pretty happy with the team they have. Other than Babouli, Mannella, Simonin, and Roberts, every player on the roster is a proven capable MLS player, and Babouli has shown enough potential to suggest he can be one too. The only academy/TFCII player who seems ready to break in is Edwards.

This is all mostly speculation though

Being the backup to one of the best LBs in the league doesn't make him a bad player though. If we let Morgan go, it'll be hard to get a replacement LB that's better. He might not be a prospect anymore, but that doesn't mean they have to get rid of him.

He can't. He isn't eligible for free agency. If he wanted to play for another MLS team, he'd have to enter into the re-entry draft and then he'd have to sign for whichever team acquires his rights. And since he would count as international on any american team, the only teams he can really go to are Vancouver or Montreal.
