Soon will be getting these-) Had to ask a friend for a favor and to keep it a secret from my wife...being shipped to my office hahahahaha This is the Pit Sports version
dang we have the same taste! what size did you end up going with? How are those Ignitus II's treating you?
Went for 9.5 us which is my size but have not tried them yet. Love the WI2, that is my favorite model of that silo.
Went with 10 US, hopefully it's my size with the "Professional Fit" models. Anything Mizuno with any extra width is too long
Are you moving there for good or just visiting the family? Maybe you should start a business where people can order stuff from you I have been asking my Japanese friend to do this type of service but he is too lazy.
Haha right! Moving for good. My visa application is in process right now so hopefully that means it will be ready next month. We will see. I'm gonna try and get a job at SSKamo. I have some connections with them through the some of Puma higher ups here.
Does anybody have a solution to the upper splitting from the outsole (more like the thin plastic stretching like taffy away from the upper, if that makes sense)? A few people said to apply duct tape but do I really want to do that? I've played with my MiJ Morelia Neos on 3G turf only a few times and the split is already big enough for the rubber pellets to live inside them. A big shame because I love playing in them.
The only thing I can think of is gluing them with super glue or something. Get all the pellets out, apply the glue, and put some clothes pins to keep the upper and soleplate together while the glue dries.
Yes I use both. After 30 long years of soccer, youth thru college, my ankles are shot. I used to tape them up, but it took too much time and money. I finally switched to ankle braces--Mueller XLPs--and have been wearing them for the last 2-3 years. As for the orthotics, I just switched them out for the ones that come with the boots. There's not too much of a difference in shape and size except for a built-in fiberglass arch support. The Mizunos have the largest "hole" (not sure if there's an actual term) to put your foot in the shoe of any boot I've ever owned. They accommodate my ankle circumference plus the ankle brace fine. That said, I'm sure I'm stretching out the boot and it is molding to my foot as if the ankle brace was part of it. Like all my previous boots, if I don't wear the braces, they are very loose and I have to double sock.
yes, indeed....the pearl-sky blue-navy looks really interesting i saw them in mizuno europe site as well...... it always amazes me tht in Japan, only black-white and white-black being sold tho recently the yellow-black for 30th anniv
EU import from Japan may incur high import duty/tariffs, thus the 250GBP for the Japan made IIs n Neos
that's cause those 2 are the better quality ones haha. I'm fairly certain the best quality ones are sold in Japan all these MiJ europe editions are slightly inferior. ah, interesting. Any chance to link me up to the orthotics? I'm quite surprised, most orthotics tend to be on the chunkier side and don't fit football boots well at all. I was thinking about getting a pair of superfeet for my boots
Do you mean that Mizuno has a separate production facility in Europe? I thought every MIJ Morelia is crafted in Japan. Regardless of color. And every MIJ Morelia should perform the same regardless of color. Although an older player once told me, that Black is the best color for Kangaroo leather. It is supposedly unpainted (?), and comes out of the treating process the softest. Plus he said it lasts the longest. It seemed a bit outlandish to me though.
I've seen an interview with the boot designer at Mizuno and he said pretty much this. I can't remember exactly what he said but it was something to do with the treatment process for black leather being the best suited to producing soft leather for football boots. I can't remember him saying anything about it lasting longer though. I'm pretty sure someone on this forum posted a link to this interview at some point in the last year. Can anyone else remember it?
nah, its made in japan but from what I gather online on this forum as well as the chinese ones, those that are sold overseas (like the origami ones) never seem to be as good as the ones that are sold only in Japan. Idk why that's the case, could be quality of material used etc, that the top top quality stuff is reserved only for Japan. and yes Black is the best colour mainly because it doesn't go through the dye process to get them in those fancy colours. also regarding the video he talks about it around 5:23
yes I remember it too, he was referring to Tiago Motta who chooses black Morelia because the leather is softer. I can confirm that too as I have 2 Indonesian made Morelias and the black ones are softer out of the box because on most other colors they use a perlish coat. I can also confirm it at leather food treatment, my white Morelias take 5-6 days to completely absorb the leather food while the black ones does it in 2-3 days.. EDIT: jayc23 found it
