glad to see James starting and scoring for RMA.....granted it's the 2nd leg of a Copa Del Rey match that RMA had a 7-1 lead at the start of the match. any playing time is better than none...
Even zidane son scores....spansihg press will say Here's Enzo Zidane's goalhttps://t.co/odr3UqUSFX— IDontLikeSpurs (@IDontLikeSpurs) November 30, 2016 What luck have that bold...
james buried on the bench .... casemiro asensio , a youth player and vasquez ( thats doesnt do shit ) over james . zidane really hates james . i hope he really asks for that transfer
It's pretty bad that I'm not even bothered that he didn't play today. The expectations have gotten so low. It's become pretty clear that if Real weren't playing 3 competitions, James would probably be in the stands week-in and week-out. James would be pretty damn dumb to stick around past this season. Seeing this many kids join the club and jump up ahead of him in the pecking not too long after he was voted La Liga's best midfielder should really give him a wake up call. Whatever he does at Real, he'll end up having to prove himself over and over again. They sign new players constantly, at any minute a coach can get fired, and, for whatever reason, the fan base has no love for him.
Today didn't surprise me at all. Especially considering james played the full 90 in the meaningless 2nd leg of copa del Rey earlier in the week I asked a couple of real supporters about james and they have no bias and they simply say that james isn't a fit on the team and there are other players who step up more and fit better in that system than james does. Right now they are top of the table in the league and can win the group of the champions league by winning at home next game over Dortmund so it's not like there is a massive outcry that James must play. Somewhat similar to when pekerman froze out guarin from the NT roster during colombia's big run in 2012 to 2014, Zidane is getting the results without james so why bother play him when other role players are just as effective such as Isco, casemiro, Asensio, Lucas Vázquez etc etc Real now has 6 point lead in la liga and pretty soon RMA will be in heavy need of rotating players as they get further in la liga, CL and copa del Rey. I'm not going to hold my breath for a transfer this winter but hopefully the depth chart can be tested enough to the point where james gets opportunities and makes the most of it. It sucks but it is what it is.
happy to see Zidane give James a start today. plenty at stake today between Dortmund and RMA now it's time for James to let his performance speak for itself
he's been all over the pitch today. dropping back on defense, switching sides with Lucas Vazquez, winning challenges and getting a some shots on goal. that cross to Benzema put a smile on my face
#Vine Gol de Benzema Real Madrid 2-0 (Un pase de James Rodriguez como los que yo hago)😍 https://t.co/4Lcb2oIfri— J e y k e r (@JeykerOficial) December 7, 2016
Real could have scored 5 or 6 on Dortmund but a combination of bad finishing and awesome goalkeeping kept the score close and with all the talent Dortmund has, they can also send a couple in the net. I liked how real looked with the 4-4-2 and with James having freedom to wander around on offense. I still fail to see what is so extraordinary about Lucas and Casemiro that James, Kova and Isco are below them in Zidane's peeking order. Kross probably will be reinserted in the starting lineup once he is fit, same as Balencia.
Casemiro has been clutch for Zidane. For a holding MF and considering Zidane doesn't sit BBC unless there's injury, he needs an enforcer like Casemiro to do some of the dirty work. That much I can understand. Isco, you can make a case that he's their Mcnelly and has quick feet but rarely do I see him connect where it matters, the final 3rd. Kova can be hot and cold and Lucas has somehow gained starting status despite not being so prolific on top. I don't get it either. Surely, if James had been given that same vote of confidence he would be yielding much better results.
Lucas - explosive/pacy winger who keeps defenders on their toes so he is constantly pushing forward Casemiro - deep midfielder who is polar opposite to Lucas which gives midfield more balance trying to make sense of what Zidane is trying to do: Zidane is heavily rotating everyone outside of BBC, Kroos and Modric. Kova starts more often in La Liga and Lucas seems to Zidane's work horse who either starts of comes on in a super sub role. Morata/Lucas give cover to Bale/Benzema. i don't like it but from RMA's perspective, this is a way to prevent running players into the ground by the time March comes around which is when teams usually run out of gas or go through the most injuries. essentially by the time we get to March/April (crunch time) RMA will have enough midfielder/attacking options that are prepared to play in any high profile game. James is definitely on the low end of the spectrum in terms of playing time, but the best we can do is hope for more La Liga appearances as the season goes on. James in Champions League: 1. Sporting 9/14/16: Sub - played 14 minutes 2. Dortmund 9/27/16: Started - Played 68 minutes 3. Legia Warsa 10/18/16: Started - Played full 90 minutes 4. Legia Warsa 11/2/16: Did not play - not available 5. Sporting 11/22/16: Did not play - sat bench 6. Dortmund 12/7/16: Started - Played full 90 minutes all things considered 3 starts over the 6-game group stage with 2 full games is not terrible, unfortunately, the games are always two weeks apart which makes things difficult to establish rhythm
i'll take your word for it - you're an RMA supporter so you see more of the games. the couple of games i saw Lucas play he appeared to be a more attacking role. would be nice to see James get some minutes this weekend. build some momentum...
va de titular hoy... y con esa formacion me adelanto y digo q va a ser un deleite de partido para ver ...
