Got a flight from Geneva to Barcelona booked for my honeymoon, $25 bucks one way. Not too shabby, and I'll be happy to show my fiancé my other country.
The turbulence however, is not. Hit it every f***ing time over the Hungary/Serbia/Croatia area for whatever the reason. In 2013 we took a round trip flight from Sofia to Athens for like $60. And had a delicious sandwich and two glasses of wine for free. In America, I get crazy looks when I demand a 2nd packet of peanuts on some garbage airline like Delta. Anyway, great to hear about Josh's work ethic. It's no mistake he and Pulisic are where they are. Large part of it is working harder than everyone else.
Semi-OT but what is Hugo Perez doing these days? Maybe we could rehire him for the U-14s or finally get rid of Tab and make him the U-20 coach.
Happy and blessed to have finally made my debut with @acffiorentina Thank you to my family and friends for always pushing and supporting💜⚽️ pic.twitter.com/DlWG98DfES— Joshua Perez (@Joshua_Perez26) December 1, 2016
Chiesa got himself a nice goal: http://www.violanews.com/video/vide...ventus-fiorentina-slalom-e-palla-allincrocio/ And so did Hagi: http://www.violanews.com/video/video-hagi-magia-su-punizione-in-juventus-fiorentina/
This came up in another thread. I wouldn't get too upset about it. It is precisely what a young talent should say when a newspaper from the country of his parents birth comes knocking. #ElSalvador Joshua Pérez no cierra las puertas a El Salvador https://t.co/0sL38r1uK7— Boris Escobar-Carranza (@BORISDESCO) December 2, 2016 Joshua Perez does not close the door on playing for El Salvador.
Not much else to say. Being diplomatic is a good thing, but he'd be, frankly, absolutely foolish to get captied at this age when he has a real legitimate shot at being a key player for us for the next decade+. Totally confident he'll play for us.
Not on the Primavera Squad. Woo Hooo! 805041508441292800 is not a valid tweet id Btw, wonder what happened to Lundqvist. Remember him?
Hugo has talked about this extensively in past interviews and in the article linked to the tweet Giovanni, Josh's father, talks about what would need to happen for kids like Josh to play for El Sal. "Tiene que haber un diálogo. Dentro de él corre sangre salvadoreña. Nunca están las puertas cerradas. Pero hay muchas cosas que se tiene que arreglar en El Salvador, para todos los chicos que viven en Estados Unidos y tienen sangre salvadoreña", apuntó el padre del atacante. There has to be a dialogue. Salvadoran blood runs in him. The doors will never be closed. But there are many things that have to be fixed in El Salvador for kids that live in the United States and have Salvadoran blood," said the attacker's father.
He'll be in the 23. He didn't play for Primavera today (which won 4 - 0, btw) and is not injured. Ergo, he is with the first team.
Perez is on the gameday roster for today's home game against Palermo: http://it.violachannel.tv/vc13-dett...convocati-viola-per-fiorentina--palermo-.html
I created a gameday thread here: http://forums.bigsoccer.com/threads/perez-fiorentina-v-palermo-12-4.2037320/
