I hope the bench in Rostov is heated. It looks cold as hell there.

Tough to get subbed on as a striker when Thomas Müller is sitting next to you.

Muller, the gentleman he is, isn't even playing well this season. He really is trying to get Julian some minutes.

Yet Julian is disrespecting Mueller by failing to get on the field. What a jerk.

Julian Green suffered a muscular injury and will be out for the rest of the year. [Bild]

He will end 2016 with zero mintutes played in the Bundesliga. The same as 2015.

In other news: Ribery extended his contract with Bayern till 2018.

It's going to be his glute, isn't it? That would be about the perfect end to 2016...

Here's to wishing he gets a better 2017 for Christmas.

I'm seeing 4 weeks on Twitter. So as Football Master says above, that means Green is out for the rest of Bayern's matches in 2016. Bayern's next Bundesliga match after the winter break is on January 20, so maybe Green will return for some of the winter friendly matches.

Yep, he's projected to be out for 4 weeks as per the tweets.

Because the best time to sell a player is when he is able to work out his own deal somewhere else?

damn they could have given him a single CL or BL appearance to repay his years of service :p

At least he'll always get to be the "former Bayern Munich man," even if he's playing in the Turkish second division or somewhere.

Yep, you're right. Almost exactly 3 years ago today (Nov. 27th, 2013) against CSKA Moscow. Did Julian not have a YA Academy thread (or something similar?) Looks like his current thread was only created in August 2015.

I wonder where he ends up? Lower tier Bundesliga team? Maybe go the Bobby Wood route in B.2 for playing time? I like Julian, he has shown flashes of being a really good player. Would like to just see him go to a team where he can play. I like his aggressiveness when ive seen him. He can still become a contributor to the USMNT imo.

I think Green's priority in January will be making sure that isn't a 3rd straight wasted season after the World Cup.

Julian must be 120 lbs. soaking wet. That could be a problem in Germany. If it were on skill alone, he should get a place in some BuLi team.
