Sandhausen won on PKs. I don't know if Wooten took one.

Was that sub due to injury?

He's not in the squad for Sandhausen's game today.

Played 90 in a 3 - 2 Win over TSV 1860 München. Assist on the first goal and scored the third.

Get ready for a call up ;).

I think the USMNT has developed to a point where it hardly needs a BL2 or Championship caliber player. So with that thought in mind, is MX league better than the BL2 or Champs? or for that matter, is MLS better?

It's about the player, not where they play. I think Jozy is lock starter and Wood/Morris fighting it out for second spot. With the improvement Morris has been making, I think that battle is getting close. Wooten seems like a nice complement to the other three guys. He's also got 5 goals and an assist in his last 6 games. I'd take that to fill out the forward crew over Johannsson or an out of season Wondo.

I am so glad you pointed this out. Nothing kills a thread for me so quickly and completely as league comparison arguments.

:) Like bsky22 said, is not so much comparing the leagues but the player that plays in that league.

I think Wooten deserves some callups just to see how he stacks up in training. He could be a bench option for the NT.

But he looks like a very streaky player. If you get him during his good form, he will score. If not, meh.

Andrew scored two goals and added another assist in Sandhausen's 3-1 win over Karlsruher. He has 7 goals and 3 assists in 12 games this season.

    The goals:

In he handful of matches that I have seen Andrew I have been intrigued by his play. I've seen him once this season and it looked like he was playing in the hole behind the strikers a la Dempsey. Wooten was very good in that match. He is having a fantastic season and I hope it continues. Maybe another look with the US is warranted.

The assist goal defending was comically bad.

I will say though that the team building that a goal like that creates is underappreciated I think. A guy has a 1 v 1 with a GK, but passes up the opportunity to ensure the goal by tapping it to his teammate. The good vibes around the team after a goal like that are pretty special.
