Not neccessarily. If Leipzig make the CL they could become a major player and will be able to attract more top young German talents. They already have a few, including Werner, so in some ways their presence in the BL might actually do some good, much as it shames me to say it. Dortmund can also be a rival destination to the PL for top young talents, although they need to sort out a few issues with regards to their long term stategy and recruitment first. They are close to becoming an elite club.
@timh19 Getting back to this discussion mentioned here last time: http://forums.bigsoccer.com/threads...read-vol-iii-r.1906424/page-335#post-34566913 Ever since match day 7 back on Oct 8, Jean-Manuel Mbom has been moved towards playing as a RW fully. He's really embraced his role at this more attacking position as well. He currently has 10 goals in 11 games. Which is tied for second to only Jann-Fiete Arp in the B-Jgd Nord/ost division.
Fiete Arp is such a top talent. I think he's the best striker prospect in Germany after Eggestein, Serra, Dadachov, Kruger, I think Arp will have a bright future ahead, maybe staying in HSV isnt a bad idea
Dadashov continues to be going though a difficult adjustment period and is drifting off course quite a bit. Krüger, Nieland, Kyeremateng, David and Yari Otto, Kiprit, Yannick Becker, etc are all having much more productive seasons than him so far. HSV are a frickin mess dude, unless you were hinting about them being relegated so Arp can play in 2.BL first in a few years lol.
Yea,if they get relegated and some of the bigger names are gone. Maybe Arp and Christian Stark will have their chances. Not too many promising young stars tho. I'm also aware that Stuttgart have been dominating the 2002 age group. David Hummel is a standout. I think Ware Pakia and David Hummel will be the key for this age group, and of coz the promoted 11 year old Youssoufa Moukoko
If HSV want to be made great again, then they'll need to start dumping some dead weight who are not contributing. Waldschmidt should be tested as a starter during the upcoming few matches. Finn Porath and Dren Feka should be promoted to the seniors to boost their lifeless midfield. If they continue to do well in U19, then maybe give a chance to Christian Stark and Mats Köhlert next summer. That defensive back line is awful though and would need a complete overhaul.
Roger Schmidt with more commentary on Benny Henrichs: http://www.rp-online.de/sport/fussb...ichs-ploetzlich-nationalspieler-aid-1.6375320 "Benny has a high footballing quality - not only on the ball, but also on tactical behavior. He is attentive, focused and always able to bring his skills into the game. His positional game is also strong. He has benefited from being on the pitch once as an attacking midfielder. In addition, he has excellent defensive dueling ability, and it's very hard to get past him. He loses one-on-one battles very rarely. This is the highest level."
Suat Serdar signs a contract extension with Mainz until 2021. http://www.mainz05.de/mainz05/aktuell/news/news-detail/article/suat-serdar-verlaengert.html
Interesting to use the Confederations Cup to go WC 18 vs Euro 2020. http://www.dfb.de/en/news/detail/lo...-marino-leno-will-start-against-italy-157542/
^ Nice, do you know who scored? I'm not able to follow it right now. The starting XI tho: #U20-Startelf gegen Italien: Florian Müller - Neumann, Mühl, Dietz - Bader, Kammerbauer, Conde, Mittelstädt - Reese, Ochs - Teuchert ✌️— DFB-Junioren (@DFB_Junioren) November 10, 2016

Here is a live stream for Bayer 04 vs Fortuna Köln https://www.facebook.com/bayer04fussball/videos/vb.136080986433184/1308148302559774/?type=3&theater Akkaynak, Havertz , da Costa, Harenbrock,Abu Hanna and Boeder are playing in this friendly. Yalcin and Nesseler are on the bench. I think Sam Schreck is injured.
It's probably Teuchert. Thanks. I only saw a few minutes. What the hell was Conde doing on the right wing (or was that Malcolm Badu)? I think Reese was playing up front but I am not sure. Whoever that was, his hold up play could have been better on 1 or 2 occasions.
yeah it was Teuchert according to the DFB site http://www.dfb.de/news/detail/u-20-feiert-auswaertssieg-in-italien-157556/
Sorry, for the late reply. Yes, of course Gündogan was older. I meant that it's bad for the BL in general to lose its best German players. At the moment results (UEFA 5-year-ranking) show that the PL and the BL are at a similar level, so there's no need to leave. But other than Bayern everyone is losing their top players due to lower wages. That can't be compensated indefinitely especially if the youth players leave as early as Sané.
If they pay as much as Bayern or the PL clubs they can probably retain their players. Problem is that Dortmund doesn't consider itself an "Ausbildungsklub" (club dedicated to training young players to sell them later). They would much rather keep the players they've made world class like Hummels and Gündogan. Dortmund is 7th in the UEFA club ranking. That's better than every PL club! So if you go by actual results they are already elite. Doesn't matter though, because their wages are not elite enough.
http://www.dfb.de/u-20-maenner/spiele-termine/spiele/?no_cache=1&spieledb_path=/matches/2238785 Reese was replaced at half time so I guess the striker I saw was Jonas Arweiler. And yes Kentu Malcolm Badu was the winger, not Conde. He is raw. Apparently Guido Streichsbier used a 3-5-2 which is a nice idea. It's always good to beat Italy. Unless dfb.de have made a mistake, Bunjaki is in the squad which means he has recovered pretty quickly from his injury. Guido will rotate and should play Bunjaki vs Poland. Hopefully the match will be broadcasted.
Werner should have scored that one, he took to much time to shoot. The moment he beat the goalie he should have taken a shot. By the time he shot,3 defenders where in the way.
