No Tozer or Greenfield, printed roster still has the Kapinos bros for CR

And they take down the Comets! Tony Walls with the first two, Gurson with a header, and Hewerton with two. Rookie Brett Petricek out of Niagara University was absolutely stellar in goal. Team defense was solid too. Hewerton's coaching is as quality as it was for Rampage United.

Cedar Rapids Played great and Comets missed some good chances Patterson blocked some solid shots but gave up couple I thought he should have had the 5 hole and the bomb from Hewerton it looked like it would have hit him if he would have stayed put.
Pino had the best goal of the game and is a solid guy and pick up for the Comets. He coaches Summit Soccer club and my son is training with his teams right now so I am biased a little.
The Comets missed Brian Harris and seemed a little off tonight but Rampage played great game and there keeper stopped several that would have changed flow of the game.
The crowd was smaller than I hoped for I don't have a know anything about the jerseys but it was both teams so I'm sure it was league related.
I did get Jamar Beasley to sign couple pictures for my collection and it was good Indoor soccer game so why complain.

Hats off to CR on a big win. They have made some very good moves in the off season and look even better than last year. Petricek had a great game in goal. The game announcer was saying Kapinos was in goal until they end, when he found out he wasn't. The Kapinos brothers are one the Ontario roster. KC just looked rusty offensively and I'm sure they will get their share of wins this season. Patterson looked good in goal and KC just resigned DEF- Brian Harris and added defender Flores yesterday.

As for GSL last night, The KC game was stop and go all night, Dallas game would not even come on, Tacoma game came on in the 1st qtr then went off for the rest off game. SD game stream was great, but the bad news was the game was a blowout. Game should of been an exhibition game, not regular season and Turlock does not belong in this league.

Pure speculation, but I have a feeling that it was an issue with being too close to each other in color. I think CR was planning on wearing their blue and white, which the officials probably nixed last minute.

I thought they same thing. KC looked like they were wearing T-shirts, not professional soccer jerseys. CR looked like they were wearing long sleeve T-shirts with just their logo on it, kind of plain looking. Tacoma, Sonora, Dallas, El Paso,SD, Turlock all wore, good looking to decent, soccer jerseys last night,

Below is what was posted on the KC Comets Facebook page a couple of hours prior to kickoff with no other explanation provided:

NEWS - Due to reasons beyond the teams' control, the Cedar Rapids Rampage & KC Comets will wear special alternate jerseys tonight.
