I have been invited to participate in the Guinness Cup -- which guarantees international friendlies. So I am gonna pass this time around.

You're just afraid of getting bounced in the group stage like you did last year aren't you? Come on tell the truth Mark. ;)

I will not be in the cup this year---I want to do some flag hunting.

However, I will still do my co-dictatorial duties, and will set up the seedings once we have all of the sign ups.

I propose a deadline of one week from today for signups. Any objections?

I too am going flag hunting. I also want the extra experience.

And like ur_land, i will still be tournament co-dictator.

Wow we are gonna be missing a lot of the orginial BS Cup teams this season, so far there are only 5 teams signed up that participated in the first cup, hopefully last years runner up returns. If not, we only have two of the top 4 returning, updated list below

    Raytown Rangers 82
    FC Puddleduck
    Flying Fish FC
    revsfan21
    Villanova FC
    1844 Tote Kaninchen
    Pez United
    LiverPiscina FC
    Daverules FC
    RiverHawks
    Dallas Red Knights
    Heavy Water FC
    PB United
    Alief FC
    Alaska United SC
    Lawn Guyland Hoos
    Redbread FC
    Watertown United
    Brown United
    DCUnited
    Winninging Connection
    Henderson United?
    so 21-22 teams now.

And I agree ith ur_land, end signups a week from today

might want to cap it at 24 and then take teams on a waiting list if you can get 8 more. 24 or 32 are usually the best for trying to schedule something like this.

I know some people (myself included) don't enter this tournament because they want to play some international friendlies. What if we found a website or message board or federation or whatever from another country and worked out a friendly competition where members of BS play members of a group from another country. It'd be sort of like the US vs. Country X challenge over the offseason, except that you'd compete for a team title instead of just a country's bragging rights. One way to structure it would be if you had, say 8 teams from each country each team would play the other country's teams for a total of 8 games. Then the best team from each country would meet for the championship (with more teams there are various ways in which you could work it out).

Just my two cents, I'd like to see if anyone else has suggestions or comments.

I think that is a great idea. And that is the reason I'm bailing out this season. I want to get some flags on my club page.

Stupid question (I know I have seen it elsewhere before) it this a feature of being a Hattrick Supporter?

    To keep it simple...
How about challenging Oceana, Ireland, Canada or someone similar?

Count me in for the 3rd annual BS Cup...

    Mongrel FC 221913
    USA V.188 #2 the past 3 seasons
1st place in first ever BS Cup
2nd place in second BS Cup

I'm fairly certain it is a feature of supporter.

If anybody knows a good site where we could do that, that'd be great.

I post at a site and am in a cup this year with a mostly British group over at the sigames.com forum (SI Games=the old Championship Manager series and now Football manager). I'd be willing to bring it up over there next season and see what sort of response it would get. It doesn't really matter where the other people are from, as long as they're preferably from a board that speaks English.

And yeah, the flags are a feature of supporter (if you don't have supporter, you can see the flags of people with supporter by selecting "club page" from the drop-down menu).

Problem with 'outsiders' is, we lose a little control over the tourney....
Maybe we could promote ourselves within BS in the various foreign communities. Recruit other nationalities within BS....
