Sporting put volley the ball in the net from 6 yards out, but Dost is ruled for a foul on bumping the keeper which impeded him from punching it clear.

Aubameyang nearly gets another goal. End to end stuff here at the close of the 1st half.

The defensive-midfielder Wiegl scores his 1st goal in senior football with an exquisite finish into the bottom left corner of the goal from the top of the box. He looked like a striker there. 2-0 Dortmund. Hope CP isn't a sub a half.

Nice goal by Weigl and he was having an excellent half before that. He is a very good player.

I hope not as well, but he may be. Considering Mor is out for the next match, I'd expect him to substitute in, and for one of Pulisic or Dembele to come off. More likely Pulisic, as Dembele did not start last match.

Puli is getting a ton of minutes...wouldn't mind this continued rationing, especially when they're playing weekends and midweek

Yeah, but in a game where he was getting plenty of service down the right.

At this point, I'd rate him a 6.5 (6 in attack and 7 on defense).

Would be pretty dumb to make a HT sub up 2-0 on the road in the CL.

Yeah, and it ain't for a team like FC Kobenhavn. I know, I know, they are a Danish powerhouse, all that.

Well, he's on the left but nowhere as involved as when on the right.

Sporting goal on an indirect free kick inside the box. Love those.

Backpass to the keeper inside the 18. Can't believe that is still enforced.

Overall, BVB is clearly superior to this Sporting, but unfortunately I can't say today CP was one of the main reasons for such superiority.

It's pretty crazy. It's not often we get to a Yank get consistent minutes in CL on a good team that can reach the knockout rounds. Who was the last yank we had in a similar position? DaMarcus Beasley?

CP takes a knock from the Sporting right back.

What do you mean still enforced? It used to be a legal play.

? You want to go back to the bleak days where keepers were allowed to pick up back passes?

Right? Keepers showing off their complete lack of foot skills is hilarious.
