I want to be excited. Maybe in time. My hope is that Regensburg move back up to the 3.BL in short order.

Dortmund II, Unterhaching and Regensburg got relegated from 3. Liga to RLs.

    1. FC Saarbrücken - Würzburger Kickers
    1. FC Magdeburg - Kickers Offenbach
Werder Bremen II - Borussia Mönchengladbach II

Too bad we are guaranteed to get in another II team to replace Dortmund II.

Maybe Dortmund II even stays in the league as 18th. It depends on the financial situation of Aalen (2. BL), which is very unstable and in case Aalen gets no 2.BL license, a 3.Liga license could also be in danger.

Anyone who may know or read about it, what is Regensburg's current situation? I know finances remain an issue, but is there any hope of a return to 3.BL?

    Play-offs:
    Würzburger Kicker - 1. FC Saarbrücken 6-5 after penalties (WK 0-1 1.FCS; 1.FCS 0-1 WK)
Mönchengladbach II - Werder II 0-2 after extra time (both legs ended 0-0 after regular time)
    Kickers Offenbach - 1. FC Magdeburg 1-4 (Off 1-3 1.FCM; FCM 1-0 Off)

--> Würzburg, Bremen II and Magdeburg reached promotion to 3. Liga.

Not to be offensive, but these are very weak riots by Offenbach. Their holigans should train harder. ;)

Magdeburg win 2-1 vs RW Erfurt, with an incredible showdown of fan support from both sides.

I'm so excited for Magdeburg. I'm an American but Magdeburg is sort of my home away from home when traveling to Europe, so I instantly became attached to FCM when I went to my first game there. Every time I've attended has been at the Regionalliga level and the atmosphere was already incredible. Now it looks like they're REALLY packing the house in their first two 3. Liga games.

Now I'm just hoping that for the love of God they don't get relegated again, what with that nasty bottleneck that makes movement from the 4th to 3rd tier so difficult. They're off to a damn good start, getting 7 points from their first 3 matches, including coming back from a goal down and a 16th minute red card to win 2-1 over Halle yesterday.

Happy with Regensburg, but disappointed that Mannheim and Elversberg didn't get up.

Great start to the season as well, 10 points from a possible 15: 3W, 1D, 1L. Currently sitting in third place.

Nice to see Werder II & Mainz II in the bottom 4 of the 3.Liga table early on (just to keep independent teams up).... :D
Realistic shots / my hopes for the promotion playoffs:
    Nord: SV Meppen (up 6)
Nordost: FC CZJ (up 8), though would be nice for Energie Cottbus to get back up; and eventually I'd love to see Berliner Dyanamo make it
West: Viktoria Koln (fighting BMonII - hopefully they don't make it), though Alemannia Aachen would be nice to see up
Sudwest: Elversberg & Saarbrucken lead now, Mannheim is fighting (along with Steinback / Hoff II), and I'd like to see them take a spot (however, Wormatia Worms is hilarious as a name...make a run! lol! - they are 9 pts back)
Bayern: Unterhaching is running away (already 14 points up after 15)
