Looks like GoLive has pulled the web page for tonight's game from their site. STL still has it linked from their home page.
I was there. You didn't miss much. St. Louis had mostly trialists and fringe roster players. CR played an A- squad first half and went up 5-1 or so at the break. Their trialists played most of the second and ended up winning 6-2. I imagine st. Louis will play more of their starters tomorrow at home.
For past 'exhibition' games played at home, the Ambush played more of the 'A squad' in the first half, and a lot more of the 'open tryout guys' in the 2nd half. Similar to preseason football, performances in 'preseason' games against a lot of lesser-skilled rookies and fringe players are usually not predictive of how a player will perform against real teams in the regular season. For the fringe guys, the coaches can get some idea of how they play with their teammates in a 'real game' situation against a different team. It is also a great way to attend a game with the family and kids for low cost. I am glad to have the Cedar Rapids Rampage in MASL; the Central division is by far the most competitive division in the league.
