I did not forget about Lahm, but it seems wasteful to hire Kahn now as a mere stopgap solution. We also have to think about the age structure at the top of the FO. Hoeneß is 64 years old and Rummenigge 61. These two aren't going to continue their jobs as CEO / president forever. I assume in six years (two election cycles) the then 70 year old Hoeneß is going to step down as president and Kalle is going to succeed him. So it would seem logical to build up both Kahn and Lahm as potential successors in case one does not work out.
Good news: Arjen Robben who just returned from injury is not going to join the Dutch NT during the international break. http://www.knvb.nl/nieuws/oranje/ne...rjen-robben-niet-actie-voor-nederlands-elftal
That makes no sense. He's the best in the world in his position at LWB, while Bayern has several players that play his role in midfield.
Something tells me that Lahm's next career step is coaching. Perhaps a guy like Schweinsteiger would be good for the Sammer position once he retires.
Lahm certainly could become a good coach but he said watching Pep's workload killed off any desire in him to coach himself. I believe he will join management after his career as a player is over.
I never knew that. In that case you are probably right about him in management. Maybe he will see things differently after working with Carlo. It would be a shame to see such a smart player, who has worked under some great coaches like Hitzfeld, LvG, Heynckes, Pep and Carlo Ancelloti, not get into coaching.
I was shocked that he stayed on. Especially after motioning to the bench that he wanted to come off. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
Hope to God it's not a serious thing. He did play through it so maybe that's a good thing. I don't we'll see him play this Tuesday so that's a safe precaution
Sadly his dementia has already progressed pretty far which is why the club couldn't celebrate his 70th birthday with him last year.
soooo Lahm might retire this summer or the next.... http://www.skysports.com/football/n...pp-lahm-not-ruling-out-retirement-this-summer
The end of my @MLS dream in the future?😂😂😂 #AmericanElection #EleccionesEEUU2016— Javi Martínez (@Javi8martinez) November 9, 2016
Arjen scored a good goal in a poor Oranje side to give them a 1-0 lead in very poor football ground. He is ofcourse the Dutch captain. He then was injured & had to come off - Sneijder got injured too - I dunno if it was the ground or something else! Hope it is not serious as he is in great form!
But he refuses to ********ing retire from NT football so this is the bullshit we have to deal with! We have no one to blame but him. Edit: 797882175303495680 is not a valid tweet id
He will never retire from NT football - He will play 1 more WC as a key player & maybe if he is fit & able to adjust his game, the 2020 Euro after which he will retire. I have little respect for whores who turn the back on their country for some club $! I understand the clubs are paying & all that & their needs need to be protected but retirement makes me lose all respect for these whores! Atleast Lahm won the WC n stuff & then stepped aside!
