Take your blinders off. The field is horrible. Would love to see you guys again in the MVC tournament in our house to administer yet another spanking. Our next victory will be even more convincing and your winless streak against our Jays will continue.

Yeah...another spanking...a one goal loss when you didn't dominate in any statistical category other than shooting is a spanking...Maybe you're the one who should remove the blinders...I'm pretty sure Drake won in every statistical category.

    18-0-5 - Creighton's record against Drake
268 - Shots taken by Drake this year (1st in MVC)
42.5 % - % of Shots on Goal by Drake (8th in the MVC)
    25 - Goals by Drake - 8th in MVC

Again I'll say this...Drake takes "shots" just to take shots.

You like to talk about stats...all you have to do is look at the ones above to see how meaningless all the shots they take are.

Debating on Drake's behalf v. Creighton is a no-win for you. I get that you think they had a good run of play and that the last few years they've kept it close...but be honest in your evaluation. It takes just about all Drake has to keep it close with Creighton. That is the state of the program.

Drake needs a WIN before you can truly argue otherwise.

I could not have expressed this better myself. You know your stuff, Bravessoccer. I anxiously await what DesMoinesSoccerScene..............(or is it DesMoinesSoccerDream ?????) comes back with during his next hallucinagenic episode. No doubt more of the same. It's interesting how certain programs that just can't put up the numbers and demonstrate what it takes to WIN are often supported by characters that run at the mouth and have a complete disregard for basic facts. The stats above and the simple fact that you have NEVER (is this a word you comprehend?) beaten us speak loudly and clearly. But of course, you can't be bothered by facts.

Sorry that Drake isn't a rich spoiled private school like Creighton. Sorry that Drake isn't spoiled enough to build a huge soccer stadium...Drake will try to do something better to accomodate you guys next time, we're sorry...You guys are clown-shoes..You haven't spanked Drake in three years now with the last two years being ties and this year being a one goal loss that Drake could have won. You're ridiculous

The stats are easy to come up with. Take a look at mvc.org...there are sortable stats courtesy of one Jason Planck, the webmaster. He complied and entered thousands of boxscores to get it up. I'm still trying to get him to change a few things, but other than that his stuff is top end.

Knowing how to apply them is a different story....

I don't pull any punches with my observations. I was the play by play for Bradley for the last two years, and a couple of guest appearences this year. In the post game interview when we lost to Creighton...the first thing I said to Jim was roughly -Tough loss, the game can be cruel, but we've been on the other side. If they can't deal with the truth they're in one of the many forms of denial.

Anyway it's good to know that at least a couple of Valley private schools know what's happening...Heck make that three, I think Eville knows they have issues this year

Evrey pitch is the same size, no matter if you have a "huge" soccer stadium or not, so I think you need a different exscuse.

Not true...they vary. The point however, remains.

    Shea is 118x73
    Armstrong Stadium (IU) is 117x74
Maloney Field (Stanford) is 120x 73
    Kuntz Stadium (IUPUI) is 120x75

Last time I checked, Drake is a private school. No need to apologize for your shortcomings, however. They are commonly understood by anyone who reads your posts.

I'm pretty sure that's what I said...I know Drake is a private school, but not a "rich spoiled private school." Come on Cugrad...at least if you're going to try to insult me read what I'm saying.

Is it our problem that your institution does not have the horsepower to raise funds like most "quality" private institutions? Could it be that the quantity of successful graduates are not sufficient to tap into this potential pool of financial resources? Does the business community just not attach much value to Drake? Or is it that you throw your money away on a football program that also can't produce results? Go away.

I can't argue with the throwing money away on a football program part. It is a complete joke that Drake spends $500,000 a year on a non-scholarship football team that is competitive (yet not too great) this year for the first time in three years. Drake also chucks away a sufficient amount on Tom Davis to run the basketball program. However, I'm not sure if Dana Altman (spelling) has a contract that big, but the football program here certainly hurts but Creighton doesn't have that to deal with. The city invests their heart and soul into the Menace and there isn't another person like Kyle Krause around who will devote money to Drake like he does for Menace. There isn't a higher tier soccer team in Omaha or even Nebraska bigger than Creighton soccer so it's easier for the whole state to invest in a college team.
