I am in bum fvck Maryland. I have a job interview in the morning. I am enjoying an Oliver Brewing Nut Brown Ale...at a Buffalo Wild Wings. I have never been to a chain bar like this in my life, but I missed last call at the hotel bar and it was the only place open.
Or, all of it is. I am in Baltimore at the self proclaimed Max's Taproom. 102 taps (this is 1/3) A few real ales 200+ bottles And the evil (and delicious) "Mac n Cheese a dilla" a quesadilla stuffed with macaroni and cheese and chorizo. I shall ruin my improving health in one fell swoop.
That Mac'n'Cheese a dilla sounds life-affirming. Somewhat Fire-related drinking, since I'm getting ready to watch the game (why? WHY? WHY?!?!?!)- drinking a Maple Dunkel by Lienenkugel's. I normally like their stuff, but this is kind of icky. At least it has beer in it, so I'll be okay, and as far as soccer is concerned, I have CCL streaming on the iPad, so I'll have something entertaining to watch if I look away from the TV.
Baltimore is an interesting city. It was my first time. I spent a few hours just driving around. The segregation and poverty seems way worse than Chicago. But there are some very cool areas.
Yeah I went as a kid around the bay. Of course I was too young for beer. It was like Chicago but with salt water
I am usually not much of a drinker but the Fire have made me drink a lot more Not your dad's root beer lately.
Stuff is too sweet. Doesn't taste like either booze or root beer. If I was gonna do something so disgusting I'd take a shot of malort and poor it in my root beer.
I'm inclined to agree. Every hard root beer I've had seems to combine the worst qualities of both alcohol and root beer with none of the good tastes.
So do I hence the reason I'm drinking ginger tea right now. I had 11 chocolate digestives and 4 snickers minis earlier. I'm just saying if your gonna mix booze and pop make it accentuate the experience or just drink them separately
