It's win or be done tomorrow, KC need to beat Vancouver or Vancouver wins the group and advances.

I wouldn't bother putting one single starter out there. Other than winning, we have to hope Central beats Vancouver and I don't see that happening. They could put everything into tomorrow, win by a bunch and it will still amount to nothing.

So start the subs, lick wounds and be as fresh as possible for LA. We play well against LA at home so three points is attainable.

Didic, Pasher, Ualefi, and Tyrpak appear to be called in from SPR, Melia getting the start in goal.

I got a ticket to the game. Not as optimistic as I was before we got shutout in Vancouver. :(

It's more along the lines of win in such a morale crushing manner than Vancouver is finished for the season, shells of even their rather mediocre selves this season, and able only to sleep walk through the Central game.
The odds, IMHO, are pretty long.
    Still, winning is always good.

Yeah, I'll go for some entertainment and hopefully something to cheer about. My expectations and demands are pretty low for a Sporting match, though.

Only four more games remain until I am no longer a STM. And this is one of them.

Not going tonight. Didn't even check to see if there was TV.

Not my business really, but care to share why you didn't renew? I sort of regret doing so now. I was considering going to the half season package but I just couldn't give up yet.

Its our team playing at CMP. I really don't care if it is a CCL game and the odds are not in favor of SKC advancing. I love the game and will be there to watch.

Yeah, I gave my tickets away for tonight. I also sold Sunday's tickets last night. You all are welcome. I've not seen the team win a SINGLE time this year. Every trip to CMP for me has been frustrating - last Friday was just another trip down the road of disappointment.

I did renew - but actually did tell my wife that I was wondering if it was worth it.

Going Sunday for sure since it doesn't look like the baby will arrive this week. But... I'm more excited to see the Galaxy than our own players. I hate to actually admit that but it's the truth.

Unless you wanna stay up until 1am for the replay @ZooCougar the only way to watch tonight is the FB live stream, which was at least a lil better for the Van game compared to the Central one

i renewed as well, but told my account rep that i probably wouldn't be renewing next year if the home schedule is as awful as this year's was... and that's before any consideration if they raise prices again.

Central one, sucked, froze, and the stupid smilies that can be on the screen on FB Live made it unwatchable, thankfully that was live on tv in spanish. Tha Van game was much better, realized full screen stopped the smilies after a little bit and not laggy at all. As good if not better than some of the YouTube streams we've had.

No problem, I've got several reasons:

    1. Shield Club is no longer $3,700 worth of fun. It's really become too corporate at that price. (Wasn't as bad five years ago when it was $2,500 for two seats.) I'm also kind of pissed that the trophies the Club has won recently have made more appearances at fast food places in Village West than in the Shield Club.
    2. Youngest child is now in college, meaning I don't always have someone to go with me.
    3. Too many effing Sunday games.
    4. Empty nest = more options for the weekend.
    5. My wife can retire in four years, and we are getting the hell out of Kansas. Seemed like a good time to make a break.

I figure I can get to 5-6 games a season via resale tickets, and that will be good enough. This was not an easy decision to make after 10 years, but I can see the team about to start a rebuilding process, and I'd just be bitter paying that much to watch it. It's better to step back now, while the good memories are still fresh.

So... does anyone know if Hallisey has scored in any game, ever? Like did he score in college? or high school? Does he realize the point is to put the ball into the goal...

If Hallisey did a halftime challenge, the one where fans race from midfield to try to score first, usually with the damn Blue dog in as goalie, would Hallisey be able to score?

If Hallisey played against a local club team, say my son's team in Sporting Blue Valley, would he have a shot that goes in?

If a larger goal was painted on a barn, let's say 50' by 25', would he be able to hit that target, on that broadside of a barn?

I stayed to the bitter end of the Vancouver CCL game. A couple of things struck me about the evening.
    1. Vancouver really came to play. The fought hard for every ball, counter attacked at every opportunity, and defended well.
    2. This is one of the first games I have seen an SKC team be outplayed at home in all areas of the field. Completely uncharacteristic for a PV coached team.
    3. SKC has no speed. The Vancouver players routinely ran by the SKC players.
    4. To me, it seemed as though PV had already decided the team was not going to advance in the CCL, so it was just time to throw a bunch of guys out on the field and get the game over with.
    5. Ike struggled throughout the game, especially in the last 10 minutes when he looked injured. PV still had two subs left on the bench and wouldn't sub him off. WTF?
    6. I have never seen so many bad passes in the midfield that were either directly to a Vancouver player or easily cut off by one.
    7. The SPR guys played as well as they could, but just not ready for prime time.
    8. Props to the Cauldron people who stayed and made some noise.
    9. Tonight was not a good crowd. I can't imagine what the Central FC game is going to look like when there is nothing left to play for.
    10. I hope the team shows some signs of life for the LA game on Sunday because PV ball is becoming very tedious to watch lately.

Couple things, when Ike really started struggling KC only had 1 sub left after subbing in Sinovic and Tyrpak. In fact I thought Tyrpak played quite well in his 45 minutes, immediately brought more to the game than KC had in the entire first half. He also brought some speed to the field (although that could have been because he was up against de Jong).

True. Forgot about Sinovic coming in for the early injury to Chance. Tyrpak did add some action for a while and created a few chances. But anything would have looked better than Porter on the wing. De Jong totally owned him.

Yeah, so my parents are coming in from out-of-town for the Central FC game. It will be their first and likely last professional soccer match.

I'm not interested in paying for more tickets. Anyone want to pass off a couple?

Agreed. Hallisey's never been good. I was done with him over a year ago. PV really needs to end the experiment.
