You guys think Ronaldo lifting up the trophy inspire and motivated Messi to return to his national team? Or was it just Messi acting like a drama queen when he quit?
For sure Messi came back because of Portugal win Ronaldo is clearly the best player ever to play a game. Messi has not even won a Coppa America
anyone else notice that in every picture they only show the euro trophy from the side that has Portugal written and never the UEFA logo side?
Messi is a psychiatrist's wet dream. The guy has literally gone out of his way to make sure he could be physically as opposite to Ronaldo as possible (on top of all the other ways they're opposites)

Re watching all the games, makes me realize how Portugal were unliky yet lucky, but, mot only see one sided. They had the most shots in the tournament... They did not sit back! Meant to post earlier... Finally. Easily one of, if not the happiest moments of my life. It didn't feel real. After 2004... After 2012... I looked over to my friend when Ronaldo came off... The same friend who thought we'd lose to Poland so I made him a small bet we would make all 5 kicks... I told him, Ronaldo coming off will work to our advantage. No secret, every team goes after Ronaldo but no team ever actually plans for what to do when he is off. The Eder goal... It is the only time I have been more than happy to spill half a beer... At NYC prices mind you! Hope you guys are all well.
