Yay.......Peter Vermes comes home again bringing his "Brand" of "Attractive Soccer" to Chester........... At this point of the season I just want the Union to win at Home and draw on the road. This will be a tough game. I expect a chippy, ugly game.
I think the Union can win this game. But I think the inevitable chippiness will get to them and they'll lose late.
some predictions: # of times Barnetta is fouled- 85 # of times it is called - 3 # of times he slams his hand on the turf in disgust at the referee- 8
Vermes comes to Chester and, like so many other Coaches who have come here, overthinks his plan. We win 2-1.
remember last weekend when we confident after beating an inferior opponent? Welcome back. Preki will have a brace, Digital Takawira will have one, and Dom Dwyer's baby will score one. 4-1 Wizards.
Jamaal Charles rushes for at least 140 yards. Our defensive line is simply too small to deal with him.
In an eerily-similar soccer-version of Game 4 of the 1980 World Series, Andre Blake channels his inner Larry Christenson allowing 5 goals, while Benny Feilhaber plays the role of Willie Aikens, scoring 2 of them. Union lose, 5-3.
Don't forget Andy Reid finally gets his clock management down and runs a two minute drill to perfection, to kick the winning field goal as time expires.
What came first, the matchday polls or the misery? Did I vote in the polls because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I voted in the polls? Win. May god have mercy on my soul. I think we have ability and the personnel to do it, and I always feel like I'm out for revenge against SKC. But, I'm realistic, and letting the That's So Union™ times roll is always a possibility. #BetHedgingFC
I am going to say win. 7 of KC 11 losses have come away from home and they haven't won an away game since April.
Slumpbuster FC. Who was it used to call them Sharting? @UnionDues? We always find a way to lose to this lot, ever since they were destroyed by Hoppenot. Not many teams can claim that.
Going with a theme here... The Union win just like the only relevant football team from Philadelphia, the Arena Bowl Champion Philadelphia Soul and crush SKC 56-42, behind 4 goals from all 14 players tonight including Blake who yields a terrible 42 goals while focusing entirely on the offensive part of his game.
Hope that Herbers stays on the right and scores again. Think that they have momentum and can win again.
1st half summary: Aimless. Fab & 'quillo up for it early, unfortunately-their work ended up with the man who would be late to everything, part of the gang who couldn't shoot/head straight. After that, game turned into "inverse Houston". Lot of walking around, but this time Philly creating what chances there were. I've yet to see Bedoya really put his stamp on a single game he's played for the U to date. Chief function appears to be letting Barnetta do that. See what comes next........
