Expedition DLC drops on Friday, May 15 (sic) http://www.joystiq.com/2014/05/14/mech-plans-titanfall-gets-expedition-dlc-this-week/ Or Thursday, May 15 http://www.gamespot.com/articles/ti...ox-one-and-pc-tomorrow-costs-10/1100-6419619/ I'm guessing the date is correct, the day is not.
A smartphone companion app for Titanfall has been released. http://www.polygon.com/2014/5/16/5723008/titanfall-free-companion-app-ios-and-android That is all.
8v8 Pilot Skirmish mode; no milita or Titans, is really fun. For me it really reveals a whole bunch of new game mode ideas and even more hope for a campaign in Titanfall2.
I can't help but think it's silly to drop the titans from a game built around titans. Granted, it's only one game mode ...
Yeah, it was the one game mode I didn't understand why people would want it in the game but after playing a few rounds of it, I'm glad it's there. Kind of nice to have to only deal with pilot on pilot action, helps put the basic combat mechanics of the pilots into focus and a reminder that the game isn't just the trick of huge titans and militia/grunts.
Respawn released a rather large update last night for the game. For one the update is prepping for two new game modes to come out, one is a pro version of Marked for death that will have it's own monthly ranking and the other game type will be a take on "hot lava" where the entire ground floor of map will be covered with electric smoke. Along with that a whole bunch of new voices (French, Russian, Japanese...) for your titan have been added to the black market as well, a player count for each game mode was added, and most importantly a new Horde mode style game called Frontier Defense was added. I tried out Frontier Defense and it was pretty fun, the spectres are actually a bit more dangerous and I've read they can be just as deadly as other pilots at harder difficulty levels.
If you have an Xbox One, and have been holding out on buying Titanfall, today's your day. The game is 50% off. And the expansion pass is 66% off. Both can be bought for a total of just over $33. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/titanfall-xbox-one-50-off-alongside-huge-markdowns/1100-6423220/
TF2 technical test dates ... weekends of Aug 19th and 26th. http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/...tanfall-2-technical-test-dates-announced.aspx
I DL'ed but didn't have a chance to play yet. Any of the stats going to carry over from testing to the real deal?
Haven't heard but I doubt the stats will carry over. If you are interested the training portion of the game is open right now
yeah at the end of the training mission is the "Gauntlet" it's a obstacle course you can run over and over.
Is anyone playing TF2? Was listening to a podcast on my way in this morning, and this game was referred to as the "best game nobody is playing". Between the MP-only of the original game, and being bookended by the releases of BF1 and the new CoD, it's not getting much attention.
If anyone's been on the fence buying this, Target's selling it at 42% off. Looking at $34.79 plus tax. Valid through today (Nov 10th).
