I think we have made no real attempt at goal, it's been Dortmund all half.
as for Rode the better he plays than that gives Germany 1 more option.:p

We're getting dominated. Right side completely nonexistent and when the ball is played to Ribery on the left, he can't beat Passlack due his lack of pace.

this game makes me feel like maybe it's time for new players young blood, over Ribery (33) and Alonso (34).

Although I don't disagree with you here, the more pressing issue is that we don't have anyone to control our play on their side of the pitch. All our possession is just meaningless back passes. Alonso has been too deep and has been useless. Don't know if we have an answer on our bench, if Kimmich and Sanches can be good enough this season.

But this also hammers my point that we can't rely on Javi as a DM at our current make up, when we're struggling to even create something with 2 guys who are supposed to be good with possession. Javi is really solid defensively but he's had loose passing and first touch control this game.

I expect to see Coman early in the second half, shame we don't have Costa and Renato fit since we surely lack some creativity.

we could have had a goal if 1 of our players was in the middle of the Dortmund box. The goalkeeper was all over his box.

Also might just be the Javi fanboy in me but I don't see why/how Hummels should be the automatic starter alongside Boateng. Impressive just how solid a fit Javi is in defense.
