As RB no? He definitely needs to be protected from speed merchants. But he's young and inexperienced dude is going to give up fouls at some point may as well let him do it now and improve or we will end up with Senderos 2.0.

he was also playing next to a guy who is a clunk on the ball in Gabriel, and Coquelin was in front who is also a clunk on the ball.

He didnt play much last preseason either where he has been constant this year. I think he will do better.

At CB. Don't think he's played at RB v Liverpool.

I hope you're right, but dude must have had ten passes to Liverpool players inside Arsenal's half.

    definitely.

But we know he good on the ball. Its why he played midfield a couple of times. Chambers just needs to play.

I have no recollection of this game... Whatever, football is back what happens, happens. I guess I do actually love this game.

My predictions for the English core. Ox with 12 goals, Gibbs fights his way back into our hearts and minds, Wheelchair shows he's not WC and isn't going to be here much longer, Chambers gets 12 starts at CB doesn't embarrass himself proves to be a solid 75 player.

He did play better in the second half. His first half was probably the worst performance form an Arsenal CB on the season. It was really bad. Chambers really worries me. I'd almost prefer to see Holding and Bielek or Holding and Monreal back there but I know Chambers is above them both on the pecking order due to seniority with the club.

Thing is about Chambers -- I think in a situation where he is very comfortable and relaxed he can actually play quite composed and solid football -- he certainly has the skills and technically ability. However, when thrown into a situation where he is asked to stretch a bit (see Liverpool in August last year) he is liable to lose confidence and make horrific mistakes. My concern is that this situation is not all that dissimilar to last years except this is a far superior Liverpool team we will be facing. Hopefully, a year older and a year wiser...

Fair enough. He did get better, but part of that was that we shredded Liverpool a new one in the second half.

Only reason we didn't win was because the linesman had an aneurysm.

A no-brainer what our matchday strips are gonna be this Sunday vs. Loserpool, but what the hell, I'll just post myself up again in those strips:

Ya... He's good on he ball mostly, but in this game he needs to be good in the tackle in that he needs to just contain and wait for coq/eleneny/xhaka or whomever to help out. Chambers v coutinho or firmino or sturrige or any other nifty/speedy type

the hope for chambers is that, centrally, he HOPEFULLY will have less opportunities to be one-on-one IN SPACE with someone speedy because he's elvis patterson at that point.

He also does this thing where he unnecessarily rushes at the ball. A clever player will punish him if he keeps doing this. The screen in front will be critical for him so hopefully the boss will protect him.

I always felt chambers fit the DM/distributor role more. not sure why hes being shoehorned into defense.

and once he is beaten, uses his hand to grab - instead of body to foul. it's damn frustrating. hopefully playing time and experience gets him to back off that rush.

Yeah, the hem on the back of all 3 of the field players' jerseys are different than on the GK ones, so it works out better (at least for these, and select other setups you can also download) if they're tucked in. Button down "biker" shirts, baseball jerseys, certain t-shirts and some others don't need to be as those were designed to look better hanging out.

I think they are going to get thrashed today 3 or 4 to one. Once again the manager has left them criminally unprepared for the start of the season. I suspect he'll blow some cash next week in the aftermath of today's loss.

There's bad news and good news. The bad news, 2016-17 is the campaign that ends Arsenal's CL streak. The good news, 2016-17 is the campaign that ends Wenger at Arsenal.
