I will put a question mark on him simply because he hasnt lived up to expectation and with time going, I doubt his progress will be fast especially if he remains at feyenoord where he has spent quiet sometime.even at u21 level he hasnt been prominent and you would expect somebody to overtake him when there is generation shift.

  2. The CAS has decided that the banana "incident" was far too harsh punished and granted Feyenoord's plea that it wasnot racist at all, but part of celebrations with all kinds of inflated things during matches.
The 50,000 euro fine for the firework and the blocking of the stadium escalators were upholded. Hope they can find the culprits to make them pay.

  3. Okay, Kenneth Vermeer out until the end of the winter break, because of achilles tendon rupture.

That's a real tough injury to come back from. I'm surprised he was able to do it the first time.

Next season if things stay as they are selection wise now.. I hope Ajax needs atleast 1 season under Bosz to flourish, but if he gets the time and support they absolutely will, I think PSV will be favourites if they hang on to their players from now on. Feyenoord is heading into this season looking good selection wise. Second season for mister Olifant, with a seemingly decent striker now too. I cant help but feel slightly more optimistic this season compared to the last ones..
    ohshit..

  7. We can expect a nice bonus from the sale of Wijnaldum to Liverpool. If I'm correct he was his whole development time with Feyenoord, so we cash all 5% of the transfer sum. Hope he hops to other clubs for an ever increasing sum.

How do you judge your team in a week of the Super Cup ? Many observers say Jorgensen is better than Kramer . Vilhena also seems in great shape. Is this the year of Feyenoord ?

  9. :DIt's every year our year at th start. How it ends is clear in a few matches after the winterstop.

I would judge Feyenoord in good shape since we kept all of our normal starters and added a better striker. Other than an odd year, typically Feyenoord go into the season without a decent striker and then pick one up several matches into the season, e.g., the seasons we picked up Guidetti, Pelle, and Kazim.

But, of course, everyone starts at 0-0-0, so we'll see what happens in the Cryuff Shield and first away match to Groan-again.

  14. We signed Berghuis on a year loan. Flores is a South American player with probably the fighting spirit of someone who wants to make it. Donot know his quality as a player though.

Feyenoord is again a kop club . Since the appointment of Gio , I did not see any young talent emerge. The most deplorable is that the players purchased are mediocre : Kramer , Bilal, Vejinovic , the Australian, I forget his name .

Brad Jones is Australian but they needed another keeper because of the injury to Vermeer. Is there another Aussie on the team? Also is van Beek injured? He didn't play in the Cruyff cup on Sunday.

  17. Yep, according to the Feyenoord fansite he's still in packed in plaster and will miss the opening match against FC Groningen too.
Boy, hopped in again in BS last week finding over 5o alerts and after a few days away from BS without looking in those alerts they now are over a hundred. They multiply like rabbits.

Maybe. A bit Harsh to judge an headmanager who has been here as that for just a little bit more than 1 season. And then to equate that to the club.

Kramer was a decent purchase and as limited as he is as a striker, he can actually score goals in the box (if you dont think this is important, you obviously have not seen much feyenoord). Dont forget he was replacing kazim kazim... And now we replaced Kramer with someone who I think is a bit better again. I dont know if we had youth products coming through for the striker position who were better. Anass, kinda would have loved him as a nr.10, but he couldnt get any of the last 3 coaches to give him the starter job either, sucks but thats something to consider. His loanspell to second league germany didnt go well either from what I remember.

Bilal? Yeah super disappointing. Young guy, reasonably cheap, didnt make the step up at all.
Vejinovic I do like tbh. I would not write him off. Hope he performs better this season but he really wasnt so bad last season either, but he got scapegoated for all the faults of the entire midfield and forward line pretty much.
Jones the GK.. Vermeer and Hahn injured, it was an experienced and cheap foreign GK or an 18 year old youthproduct. No shit we got him..

Really happy we have Berghuis on loan btw, he completely wasted a year in England but he should be an improvement and a starter for us.

I think Feyenoord have enough talents to be in the top 3... a title might be too stretched of a goal, both PSV and Ajax are head and shoulder above them. Kongolo, Van Beek and Karsdorp are competing for defensive spots in the Dutch N.T. They can only get better. In midfield, feels like Vilhena, after a nice breakthrough last year, should be able to be more dominant, and make this team "his". Berghuis and Elia on the flank are decent options, plus Kuyt who can also rotate to center.

5-0 over Groningen, played well, dominated, have a striker who runs around, scored alot of goals and had alot of chances and didnt stupidly concede.

    Pretty sure hell froze over.

  22. The guy who hang a large doll presenting Kenneth Vermeer has to appear before the judge on charges of death threats and/or threats of gravely bodily harm. Finally the Justice system is making serious business of this kind of menace. For a long time too often it wasnot taken seriously. But times are changing. The imbecils that attacked the refugees center a few months ago are being charged with terrorism. Now a clean sweep of the internet trash.
Track everybody with death threats and racist abuse and make them pay dearly.
Demonstrating and waving an Isis flag? Arrest and charge with death threats. The same with Nazi like symbols.
Given the nature of these organizations showing their "colours" means you utter the threat akin to the MO of these clubs.
