Which is why I have to stop reading this thread. I'll be back, if/when Wenger proves everyone wrong, or at the close of the transfer window.
Actually, he posted this tweet last week and that is where the "madness"comment came from.... He was responding to a tweet asking why he was so quiet... AFCAMDEN Jul 19 @marctullett Sometimes it's best to keep quiet. Wenger is trying to pull off a madness #cf
It's really him... From some summer vacation a few years ago! Wenger is a pretty cool and active dude. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Speaking of Bournemouth, for myself at last I would feel a lot more comfortable about things if we still had Afobe. As things stand at center forward, we need a better starter but with Welbeck injured we need better backups as well. As things stand, I am very pessimistic for the upcoming season and the transfer window has to address some glaring needs. Looking at our overall creative/attacking/finishing options, the main cast is Ozil, Alexis, Cazorla, JFW, Ramsey, Giroud. Iwobi is a good prospect and I fear we're stuck with Theo still. The point being, that the talent ranges from excellent to at least capable on a good day but they don't really fit. Too much skill on the ball, not enough running off it. Too many players who want to play central not enough instinctual wide players. Only one out and out center forward. So it's not about getting a couple missing pieces. It's about getting a couple missing pieces, integrating them into the squad, and figuring out how to make the whole machine work at least as well as the sum of its parts. We're still stuck on step one.
My friend who did security while Bournemouth stayed in chicago past week - says they are good boy -only got hammered on the town once
many their player also seems to improved during their time there. it is an odd concept that i am unfamiliar with.
Eurosport France reporting Mahrez coming to Arsenal. His agent is denying this. http://www.eurosport.fr/football/pr...ne-devrait-plus-tarder_sto5695718/story.shtml
Higuain to juve for 79 mil!! All but confirms that pogba is unloaded Crazy numbers for higuain ... Would never pay that much
He would be a great addition for AFC. I also understand that his price is ridiculous. That is crazy indeed for a almost 29 yr old striker with 2 or 3 good seasons left.
Really hope this is true with Mahrez. Dude is a beast. Find it strange we would go after a Winger however. Didn't Wenger just say our midfield was stacked? On the wings we already have Ox, Alexis, Iwobi, Walcott, and you know Wenger will put someone like Wilshere over there.
I really hope Vardy is happy with how everything played out, cuz his shot at a big money move to end his career is over, and the contingent that convinced him to stay has now left him behind at Leicester. He seems like a nice guy, I hope he doesn't have any regrets. At least he'll never have to pay for a meal again around town.
It's all relative. It's like saying you'd never pay a certain amount for a house, but then you find out how much you could sell your own house and it seems more reasonable. Juve likely are selling pogba for a world record--a fcuking midfielder. Granted, a skilled, physical midfielder but one whose stats at least are not much better than someone like the two year older Ramsey whom many feel didn't even play his best. We have players we could move into this inflated market and get money to help offset such a huge price. Napoli might have given us somewhat of a discount as well to not see their main rivals aided.
Higuain to Juventus. http://www.espnfc.com/blog/transfer...n-has-juventus-medical-ahead-of-€947-transfer So Juve isn't a richer club, and they're willing to take the risk of spending big on an "old" player....even though his transfer fee is justified given his form last season. #pussies #PATHETIC are the Arsenal board/manager.... Only by signing Mahrez can the blow be softened.
in anything purchase there is risk attached. But then who will do better in CL next season, us or Juve? or Napoli? If it helps Juve win CL next season, then good for them. I just hope our board/manager can be as bold.
