That's harsh. I think Griezmann was a top 3 player this year along with Cristiano and Count Suarez.

Our squad alone has like 3 players who are more deserving.

    According to Managing Madrid:
Cristiano Ronaldo suffers a partly torn ACL that could keep him out up to four or five months, according to the first explorations by the Portuguese doctors in France. If that first medical report is confirmed, Ronaldo will miss the UEFA Supercup for Madrid and also the first few matches in the 2016-17 Liga BBVA season.

The Portuguese star did not visit any hospital after leaving the match though, so he still needs to run some tests on that left knee to confirm how severe his injury is.

Ronaldo was forced to leave the Final after an aggressive tackle by Dimitri Payet in the opening minutes of the game. He tried to stay on the pitch but then realized that his knee was bothering him way too much.

This is a false report with no real source, he will be out for only 1 month.

He was strutting along the touchline where he should not have been plus he wasn't wearing a green bib . Two rule breaks but authorities mysteriously turned a blind eye . .

At least, he did not steal money from his own charities and authorities mysteriously turned a blind eye. Oh, Ronaldo is a bad person.....he forgot to wear a green bib.

I am just so happy for this guy. He is a good guy. He is hated by small minded people for having flaws as if they don't have any themselves.

However, he is truly a great guy.

So happy for Portugal. They are the team I always wish to win (obviously you all know why). I have wanted Cristiano since Euro 2004, hoping we could use him getting Rooney sent off as a catalyst but SAF was smart and retained him. Calderon was an idiot and ignored Cristiano's pleas to "save him". I have wanted Portugal to win because of Cristiano, Pepe and also because I identified with their struggle. I felt I was the one which people thought woukd never make it. I made it. I did what others dreamed. I proved every detractor wrong and I wear that with confidence. I wanted Portugal to prove to Spain and others that looked down on them, that it too is great.

I have akways said (yes, go search my posting history), Cristiano only sin was he was born Portuguese, because they are treated as lesser. Had he been born Brazilian, Argentinian, Spanish, Italian, French, German, English etc etc... he would get the respect he deserves and not mainly weird criticisms.

Well now it is a pride to be Portugese and he has helped them get there. Very proud of Pepe, Crissy, Nani, Queresma (another people have left for dead, yes he has his faults) and the others who fought to make it happen.

    How poetic.

France injured the best player in the world only for the worst to come and destroy them in extra time. Grande Eder! Killer of French dreams! Great champion of Portugal.

    Im done. :D

Cristiano Ronaldo funded the education of a 7 y.o. survivor of the horrific 2004 tsunami in Indonesia. The boy was found 21 days after the disaster, alone and wearing a Portuguese national football team jersey. The boy grew up to be a football player and was signed by Sporting Lisbon last year.

I'm just starting to recover from the post match partying that occurred and just finally making my way here to say a few words. I'm so proud of my team and country, after the 2004 loss I never thought I would see us in a final again let alone winning it. I have tears in my eyes still just thinking about this victory. Happiness is all I can sat at this point, FORCA PORTUGAL!

    ROnaldos sister on his injury

“These tears I cried for my wounded brother were like daggers to the heart, and we all cried with him for the awful pain we had together. But God is great and just as our savior Jesus Christ suffered on the cross for a better world for us, Cristiano cried in the pain of not being able to help his teammates and his beloved people.”

    Slightly different translation.

"These tears shed by my brother hurt like a punch in the chest, the whole of Portugal cried with Cristiano after that dirty, repugnant tackle".

“But God is great and I knew that Jesus was sacrificed on the cross for a better world, Cristiano cried because of the pain and because he couldn't fight with his teammates to the end for his beloved country, but like Jesus is just, the cup was lifted by the rightful winners and the dream came true. We are the champions".

So, Xavi mysteriously disappeared when handing the cup over to the new Euro champs? Why did they invite him in the first place? Wouldn't Casillas be better?
