Sanches gets the start for Portugal against a very compact, organized Poland team. Will be a good test to see where he's at in his development.
Interested to see how he is able to disrupt the Poland counters. I get the feeling he and Lewy will get into at least one scuffle......
I watched every Portugal game in the tournament and I still don't understand what William Carvalho offers for all the hype. Slow on defence, ponderous and indecisive on the ball. Everything seems too fast for him.
Renato Sanches - youngest scorer in a Euro knockout round fixture of all time at 18 years old. Usurps former record holder Cristiano Ronaldo, who was 19 years old.

Hard to believe Sanches is only 18, and could still be playing at the U-19 European Championship. That was a grown man performance.
Still some moments of rawness, but I agree. The penalty caps off a performance that puts Europe on notice.
