Trade the 2nd best striker in the world for a specialist midfielder Bayern doesn't need anymore and Real Madrid is trying to replace with Pogba - and a striker who only scored 12 goals in 47 matches for Juventus last year? I hope this is tongue-in-cheek.

On the topic, Kroos could be welcomed back if he wants to fall in line with the wage structure. If he wants to be among the top earners I think Bayern management would be fine with that. But, for a player who's only world class strengths are possession retention/recycling, passing, and set pieces (and is very average/mediocre at creating goals from open play and recovering possession when lost, and has a non-existent aerial game) anything higher is out of the question.

If he wants to start with the highest paid BS again, he can continue playing 2nd fiddle to Luka Modric, getting beat to domestic trophies by Iniesta and Busquets, and getting replaced as soon as Real Madrid can make a deal for Pogba.

Kroos earns 11 mil at real, doesn't he? Doesn't sound like too much.

I heard 12M, If given 12M where does that put him in the Bayern wage hierarchy?

I would assume either on par with Neuer, Müller, Lahm, Ribery and Lewy or possibly surpassing them. I'm almost certain the five mentioned are our highest earners. I believe Robben is somewhere in the 8-9M range, whereas the others are 10-12M+.

That would surely make him our highest earner.

pretty sure he is. His latest renewal put him at the top. Neuer must be close by as well. Ribery, Lahm may be in the earlier highest tier of 12 mil. Kroos' leaked salary had him at 13 mil for the 1st year and then 11 mil thereafter. He wouldn't be a blot in our 'wage structure'. The FO didn't keep him because they didn't want to. Not mad about it anymore.

You mean club legend and team captain Phillip Lahm? And Mr. Clutch, big goals in big games to win the club trophies, and well over 100 goals for FC Bayern Arjen Robben?

What exactly has Kroos done to deserve the biggest contract?

I believe your Kroos fanboyism is showing brightly today.

If Kroos wants to take a similar contract to Bayern's current players, around 10-12 million/year, then there shouldn't be any problem with him returning.

If he wants to be the highest paid player, he can go to Manchester City.

If he does return, Bayern would have a similar version of Ancelotti's #6, #8, Pirlo midfield where the #6 Kimmich = Gattuso, Kroos = Pirlo, the #8 Vidal = Seedorf.

It could work, but it has to be reasonable.

First, I take all these 'reports' with the same grain of salt as I take the "Lewi, Mueller, Alaba, Neuer, etc to some EPL side" rumors.

Wait to see what happens after Euros are over and Germany have lifted another Cup.

If it turns out that Kroos wants to come back, then I'd be happy to bury the personal feelings I have about how he left as long as he helps Bayern win the UCL. Remember, Sonny, it's nothing personal, only business.

Didn't know we pay players because what they did instead of what can they . Interesting . Some of you should never run a business

I don't think I can take anyone who doesn't see Kroos as one of the best CMs in the world seriously at this point. If you're Bayern, I think you have to jump at the chance to take him back.

As at when Kroos asked for his huge salary he hasnt done anything significant for Bayern and was in terms of ability and importance below Muller, Neuer, Lahm, Robben and Schweini.

Dembele can become great I suggest BvB makes him their highest earner right now

why do you think bayern let him go?

was it not obvious at the time of his departure that he'd be one of the best CMs in the world?

Schweinsteiger left one mediocre season later, Robben struggled with injury, and Lahm could decline at any point. The reality is Kroos was a very good to world class player in his prime that Bayern decided not to prioritize over their older wage-earners. It was a mistake.

Im not exactly a fan, however, I think he's improved at RM, and would be an asset back in Munich.

If Hummels can return, Kroos isn't an impossibility.

I've said it for months. The EPL will WAYYY overpay for players, if teams just wait them out.

Though, to be fair, I still think it's just London rags who have nothing else to report in their sports sections coming up with this crap.

Nah, what would having Kroos instead of Xabi Alonso have done? Made Bayern give out more raises to the rest of our players sooner and have a bigger wage bill? Made it more difficult to sell Schweinsteiger with a bigger salary?

Would Kroos have been that much better than Xabi Alonso?

Kroos got benched in the 70th minute for Real Madrid against Atletico, the team Bayern needed help against. Kroos also played the full 180 minutes for Bayern when we got pummeled 5-0 by Real Madrid in 2014.

Madrid won the CL without Kroos and with Kroos. Kroos was out injured when Bayern won the CL.

Would having Kroos instead of Xabi Alonso really have put Bayern over Barca and Ateltico?

Yeah, Kroos is a world class distributor/possession retention midfielder, but if you claim he is world class in all aspects of midfield play, I disagree.

Like I said, if Kroos wants to come back and earn the same as core of Bayern's stars, I would guess that Bayern's management would go for that.

All these are hindsight analysis. As at when Kroos left, Robben was lighting up the whole of Europe and world cup, Schweini was doing same, Same with Lahm and Muller. Kroos was a non factor to us winning, Chickened out of playing a PK in 12, Injured in our treble push of 13 and a non factor, very mediocre in 14 giving us 2 league goals and 4 assists.

Does the above look like the profile of a player demanding to be the highest paid in the team?

By 2019, we can also ask why you didnt make Dembele the highest earner in 2016 because it was obvious then that he would become a star

Just before Zidane played Casemiro behind him to do the work, A lot of Madrid fans were tagging him a flop. BTW Madrid doesnt have a second striker like Muller who must always play.

    Serious question to everyone.,

Would we have won the treble with Kroos instead of muller?

Let's pretend hypothetically that muller was injured instead of Kroos. Would our last 5-6 games have led to a treble?
