I've always felt like Danny could play in the EPL. At this point in his career, if that's what he wants, he may as well try. He can always go back to the Championship level if he can't hack it.

Sunderland would be a very good landing spot for him (cant believe I just typed Sunderland being a good landing spot, but here we are). He could conceivably crack that starting 11 there and seems to be a Big Sam type guy

I agree with you, but mostly because of the coach. He is a true professional.

I'd gladly take him at Villa.

He's good enough to play in the EPL.

He's (more than) athletic enough to play in the EPL but he needed to smooth the rougher edges to his game.

(I assume no EPL club is making a bid on Kyle Beckerman?)

I really like Williams and wish he got more call-ups. He's Premier League quality from what I've seen.

I bet he'd like to go to anyone in the Prem just so he could get some more leverage from Jurgen to get callups. He's definitely better than Beckerman at the very least.

I know Swansea wanted him in the January window so I don't think that would be a bad fit.

i feel the same way dh- dont know if moving to the prem (or any first division, really) will definitely get him a good look with the nats, but i think he definitely wont with reading

Starts at CM with the first team today in their first preseason game. Jaap Stam is now the Reading coach....I was not aware of that.

I wouldn't be surprised if he goes to any of the bottom third EPL teams. They will move for depth but after the dust on the early moves has settled down.

Oh for the days when Danny was emblematic of all that was wrong with Jurgie...

He's still not EPL quality at right mid in a four man midfield, though!

That's where JK put him during his first caps.

Yea it is but we weren't playing a flat 4 mid we were playing a diamond 4 mid so yes he was a RM but he was pinched in.

He was still played terribly out of position.... at RM.

He wasn't that pinched in, he wasn't played at RCM.

He wasn't used as an out and out RM either.

The problem with JK's diamond mid is they're expected to be both a RCM and a RM at the same time.

Point is he was played out of position and wasnt really put in a position to be the most successful by his coach in that instance.
