To be honest, he doesn't strike me as someone who cares too much about what the media thinks of him. Even better, he doesn't strike me as someone who cares about anything. He's a 'cool' personality. The season where he has been under (criminal) investigation and where the whole country ridiculed him (even before knowing the facts), is the season where he has performed on his best. I'm glad he can concentrate on the new season. Best case scenario would be if he is deemed not guilty, after which he snubs France and focuses solely on RM. Win-win for all parties (also France) concerned in my book.
Thank you for the info. I appreciate the transparency. Don't worry, you will never receive any "nonsense" from me anymore. Take care. Sincerely.
I deleted it because I asked everyone to move on. I'm not censoring anyone, I have deleted posts after yours as well. I have been here a long time and I've seen these types of discussions derail into the gutter and thread becomes intolerable. We've given everyone, myself included, the chance to express their opinion and there was a lot of leeway. Now, it's time to move on and return to talk about football.
Benzema is lucky in that aspect because he's an Adidas athlete, while France is a Nike team. But still, Euros and World Cups are big business for athletes. Neymar wasn't given his huge deal because he's playing for Barca, more because he's a Nike athlete playing for a Nike national team, and Nike's possibly biggest club team. Özil got the biggest sponsorship deal a German football player ever got simply because it was a dream situation for Adidas. Adidas sponsored player, playing for an Adidas major player club in Madrid, from the possibly biggest Adidas national team. When he joined Arsenal somebody smashed a small glass table at the Adidas headquarters. The international tournaments are a huge marketplace for sponsors. Missing out on that isn't helping your visibility and marketplace share.
James for Ozil swap? Ronaldo/Benz --- Bale/Benz Ozil/Isco Pogba/Isco --- Modric/Kova Kroos/Casemiro
Interesting read. Some parts I agree with, others I do not. One thing is certain, he made this bed he is laying in. While outside influences made the bed worse than reasonably expected; he still responsible for making it with his own hands.
People need to stop being scientific with it. Also the article acts as if Giroud and Gignac are better or at least as good as Benzema which is like saying that swimming in sea water is as good as swimming in boiling oil.
I managed to copy this tweet 20 seconds after it was posted,it was immediately deleted. Borja mayoral posted it after Morata scored: Gooooooooooolll!!!!! Morata es mejor que Benzema!!!!!! #VamosEspaña!!! #EURO2016
After that tweet which roughly translated to : Morata is better than Benzema ,his next tweet is: Me he alegrado mucho por el gol de Morata pero jamás podría decir nada malo de Benzema. Aprendo cada entrenamiento a su lado. Súper crack!!— Borja Mayoral (@Mayoral_Borja) June 17, 2016 How he is pleased by Morata's goal but could never say anything bad about Benzhow he learns from Benzema etc. Benzema es mi ídolo, que le quede claro a todo el mundo. Siempre lo he dicho. Mi cuenta ha sufrido un hackeo— Borja Mayoral (@Mayoral_Borja) June 17, 2016 "Benzema is my idol, which is clear to everyone. I've always said it. My account has been hacked" Seems like bullshit. His account got hacked, yet the first tweet got deleted like 50 seconds after it was posted? What are the odds of that? Even pages run by professionals like Cristiano, who has so much more followers than Borja's had a hack like this and it took much longer for it to get deleted.
Well since Benzema hangs out with the type of people who will jack your phone, the part about Benzema being his idol makes more sense.
