Well, they usually lose against 15-year-olds, although not always with such a high score line.

Last I remember of the DFB team was a 0-3 loss to the U-15 team of Borussia Dortmund. Basically if the boys have already a decent level of skill (and usually they play for clubs in the upper levels, so that's to be expected) they will outmuscle the women's team quite easily.

@WWC_Movement has just figured out that young guys are, in general, stronger, taller, and faster than women?
Maybe this study should be published in a science journal and peer-reviewed. I see a Nobel Prize in the near future for a certain BS poster. Job well done!

That U15 Jets team probably all go to sports high schools and have played together for years. I hear the Matildas were trialling a few new players and missing a few key players. Don't be fooled by the score - the majority of the Matildas look very fit at the moment.

I would be curious to know how the USWNT go against an elite boys team.

We are finding out this week how they do against elite Men's teams.

they lose just about every time.

people who are around the sport enough are not usually surprised by this. don't know why the australian coach was. we've discussed it here before. the speed and strength differential is too great.

I know they always lose to young teenage boys, that's why I'm wondering if they'll "ever" win one of these one day.
But I'm still stunned by the 7-0 scoreline. Usually these games between 25 year old women and 14-15 year old boys are in the 4-1 score line, not 7-0.

from coaching rec soccer up to u14, I noticed girls can play on equal par with boys(and run just as fast) all the way until they they reach about 12 years old, Than the girls go through a rapid growth period(as high as 6 inches) in just a few months. Unfortunately their muscles actually grow weaker, especially in the ankle & knees area(instead of stronger like boys do), and they do start feeling their share of growing pains like tendinitis & tennis elbow. And of course playing soccer after 12 take their toll with girls suffering way more concussions, sprains, & the devastating, acl/
What would of liked to see if possibly girls could hold off till u15 in switching over the full sided fields(Instead of u13) since right as they're the most vulnerable to injuries , they got to get used twice as big fields

It depends a bit on the attitude of the boys, I think. If they're being jerks and just try to run up the score, they probably can manage quite a few goals by playing kick-and-run. That's not usually why this kind of match is arranged, though; you want to challenge the ladies by giving them a stronger opponent with a faster game, but you'll want the boys to play the ball and generally challenge them at stuff they actually can improve from.

I know @guignol posted a pic in the Norway thread from a Lyon scrimmage against the U-17 boys; he might know how a top team fares in this sort of matchup.

The only instance I know of where the ladies actually won is this informal affair, but that's a 3v3 on a small pitch, with active national team players (although I think only Ada is a full-time pro) against media types with average footballing skills.

Women have beat men in a crossbar challenge before as well.
    But even that is rare.

No new update about Senior Teams, but Nadeshiko Japan U-20 team (former U-17 World Champions) took up an high school male team in April, in preparation for U-20 WWC in November. They lost by 0-6. They said it was specifically planned as a preparation for the match vs Nigeria, that is in the same group as Japan at WWC. :p Hope the result will be different there. -_-"
The boys looked like giants indeed compared to the girls.

I think the negative record is so far held by the US U-23 women's national Team in 2010. They played in Germany against an U14-boys Team from TSG Wieseck and lost 0: 2. Most boys were only 13 years old.
Can not imagine that these kids should have been physically superior to these national players ...
