What I'm grinding my teeth at, a little bit, here is your comment that it's "sad" somehow. We include players in this forum because they meet the criteria. That's why Subotic is here. The interest in him was pretty high back before his national team decision was settled, but after that the thread's been pretty slow, if not moribund. We have some excellent posters out there who are comprehensive in the way they keep track of all things YA, and the thread occasionally gets updated because of them. That's mostly it. Occasional significant upticks in traffic on this thread are usually driven by folks who have made the mistaken assumption that we are pining for Subotic, or the fjords or something like that, and feel we need to be corrected for it.

Klopp still wants him, though he's not getting much playing time now: http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/69/t...c-boost?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
Hamburg still interested: http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/69/t...nterest?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
He just hasn't been very good since he came back from his blowing out his knee, and may have experienced some motivation issues after basically retiring from the Serbian NT. I'd note that he was preferred to Sokratis in Dortmund's latest league match, so things could change - though I'd bet on him leaving in the summer.
Injuries, coupled with Sokratis turning out to be a very good centre back. Hummels and Sokratis has been the preferred CB pairing under Tuchel.
I think also that he's just ready to leave Dortmund. He's been the subject of transfer talk year after year. With Klopp leaving I guess he just reached an impasse. He's still quite good though from what I've seen of him. Sokratis ain't bad neither though. There's a reason Klopp's trying to get him to LVP is all I'm sayin'.
Not much news, just confirmation that he is probably on the move: http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/69/t...options?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
Sad to see how injuries derailed Rossi & Subotic's career, just a shame not more Americans got to enjoy their game while both were at their peak. Hopefully Neven recovers & bounces back, he's certainly young enough & has the proven skill & quality to be a top notch CB.
Subotic just pinned his goodbye letter to the BVB fans. He's headed to the open market. No more Dortmund.
Looks like the move is closer, but no confirmed team yet. http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/69/t...onfirms?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
Looks like he is out of action for a while, so no transfer for him: http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/69/t...surgery?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

Why a shame? They turned their backs on the USA. I personally could not care less what happens to their careers.
