Was re-watching the goal vs Chicago on Wed ... what a great bit of anitcipation for him to push away his defender as Hernadez was preparing to cross the ball .... gave him plenty of space to make that sweet finish.

Needles to say, I hope we get to watch him here at least one more year.

Also looking forward to his first "full senior international" in November.

The movement off the ball was great, but I just loved the shot. How many times have we seen just about every other Revs striker (sorry Wolde) put that right at the goalie or into the stands?

This can't be real...The papers report that he signed in teh spring for under 30,000 dollars? Waht is that about? I though Harkes was getting the screws at 60.

Even if the swapped salaries it would be Twellman that is not getting what he is worth.

You'd hate to find out what Catê was getting, and he never practiced with the team nor did he know anyone's name. Eric Wynalda was screaming bloody murder about the $65K he was getting.

TnT will get his money - he's smart and he's got good representation. The apex of stupidity will be front-and-center the day that MLS let this kid slip out of their hands because they won't pony up the cha-ching. MLS should consider him a National Treasure.

TnT needs to stay and produce in MLS one more year before he considers going back to Europe. Growing a decent pair of shoulders and traps will help, too :) (I know you read this stuff - I know you do).

For the record, I like Brian Kamler's goal and the preceeding effort better (Just something about someone the height of Jedthro Bodine shaking that little piss ant like that). No disrespect to TnT, too.

    Taylor

Several posters on several threads keep making statements like, "until Taylor makes a decision to go back to Europe" - Taylor's mind is made up - its not up to him, its up to MLS.

Taylor is under a 4 year contract with MLS that has 3 more years to run. He is not going anywhere unless MLS agrees to sell him, and, there is no indication that they have agreed to sell him at ANY price.

If the deal was right and the team was right (and several "right" teams with "right" deals are sniffing), Taylor would go in a heart beat. Its not that he doesn't like it here (I think he really does) its just Europe is the big time on the big stage for the big bucks and an athletes career is short.

In the mean time, MLS could really help themselves (and us, the lowly Revs faithful) by making this kid happy. The Krafts love him, they want him to stay. MLS needs to pony up the money. There is a "US discount" involved here. He is not going to get Euro type money and he knows it, but they need to pay him what he is worth.

If they fail to make him happy or worse, demean him by paying him nothing, it will not be pretty but in the end, the Revs will suffer the most because we will lose his services and any good will he has created.

Mr. Gazidis - open up that wallet. You guys bought a million dollar condo for Lothar and a Hummer for Hristo. I know you can come up with some scratch to keep a 22 year old American kid happy to stay in New England.

I just hope he gets it next year...it would be terrible to see him disgruntled. Well, except this series:)

As a drafted player with no real history to go by his contract was low just like almost all new draftes. I'm willing to bet that even though his pay this year is quite low he will be compensated in some way other than a big pay raise for his spectacular play. The league and owners have found many ways of rewarding players outside the salary cap. I feel confident that Sonny Kraft will make sure he's taken care of.

First time I have seen the goal. That is the look of a true striker. Not an overly pretty goal, but Twellman did what was needed to put that ball in net. How much you want for him? We'll give you the $30k he's "worth" and Razov to do with as you wish. :)
