Please give Belgium an a**whooping I'm still upset they eliminated the USA at the World Cup (even though admittedly Howard was the only good player that game).

    Great post.

Some people here are rating Italy just on pure emotion. This team went life and death with Malta in qualifying and all of sudden it's a forgone conclusion that we'll beat Sweden. A Sweden that has a Zlatan. A guy worth more than all of forwards combined. I'm not even sure we beat Ireland with this team TBH. I can see a draw in both those games

My feeling is that the Conte era has been a complete waste of time. But I'll be happy to be wrong if Italy does show up. Getting out of the group stage will be an accomplishment if you figure our performances in the past two years.

The way I view, it's better to have an off-tournament during the Euros than the World Cup.

Completely agree. Monto looked like he was gonna be a great player when younger, he then went to the Olympics in china and left Nocerino to lead the team whilst he kept trying to hide from his shadow.

The biggest problem Italy face going into the euros isn't not having a great team or players, its whether the players believe in Conte and his ideas. Im not convinced they do.

The problem is its good to have a manager go into the world cup with a euro behind him.

Well we beat the Fiorentina Youth Team 6-0. 6-0 is a good sign. Insigne scored twice, while SES, Bonaventura, Zaza, and Zappacosta also scored.

I hate the fact that an Italian manager is already gone before a ball has been kicked.

    http://www.gazzettaworld.com/azzurri/striking-crisis-euro-2016/

The five strikers called in – Eder, Ciro Immobile, Lorenzo Insigne, Graziano Pelle, and Simone Zaza – have only scored 59 goals between them this season, averaging just under 10 goals per player.

Out of these five, three have scored more than 10 goals this season as Eder, Insigne, and Pelle each scored 14 times for their respective clubs.

But Giovinco has to stay home because MLS

With No Marco behind them, this is going be a very boring team. Claudio is not much of a finisher but he would have provided a solid dependable passer into the final third.

Since Conte will likely not return to Italy, He might as well have rolled the dice and brought up Gio, Berardi, and other players with chip on their shoulders who would have at least gave us a glimpse of what we can expect in WC.

Seriously El Shar has no reason to be on this team this year and yet he got called up due to a few decent performances against garbage teams.

DDR is anchoring this midfield..... its not gonna be pretty.
