The fact that Smith had to hear about it on TV is an absolute joke. Real class orginization they have out there.

    And hey, check it out!

This year, Spookyworld's celebrity lineup includes MaryAnn from Gilligan's Island, Lou Ferrigno, the woman who played the Mom in ET, and Insane Clown Posse who, they point out, will NOT either sing or sign autographs.

No word on Elvira, Mistress of the Dark.

They sure do have some classy entertainment there. And only ten bucks a car to park at Gillette.

Do you think the other league GMs don't like Jim Smith? Like, they have their little circle of nine who talk about Smith behind his back? It always seems like he's whining - whether it be about referees, scheduling, whatever - and that's probably pretty annoying.

I wonder at what point our pal Jim took it upon himself to notify the fire that the game would be held on Sunday if they had actually won?

When I read this, i'm thinking of international games. Changing locations and start times at last minute in order to tire down the opposition, etc etc etc.

All that is left then, is for the Revs to publicly state where the Crew are staying, so that the fanatical NE fans can flock to the hotel and raise hell as the Crew players sleep :p

Hey, it works for Central American countries when the USMNT comes to visit, yes? ;)

A little input from someone local:

    1) The Revs (at least the players) didn't have any more notice than the Crew. Jim Smith probably saw one of the players talking about the game on Saturday only to be informed by the intervewer that the game was now on Sunday.

    2) I won't try to defend the Revs management (as I don't on the Revs boards) but Kraft just layed off about half of them (because the Patriots staff could handle it) and the GM submitted his resignation effective at the end of the season.

    3) Parking at our stadium is $15.

soccertim...he may have heard it from the announcers during the game. That's when my party heard it. We figured he didn't know waht he was talking about.

But, he seemed confused with the day when he was reporting it...he may have been handed the change last minute as well.

Sorry, I'm not from around here. I kind of cringe every time I hear my kids talk like that.

Hate to burst your bubble there, Chief, but all the visiting teams stay at the Sheraton Braintree, which is in the southern suburbs of Boston. Don't worry, the manager is a Revs fan and he'll clue us in on the "secret aliases" your guys use. Like it's really hard to figure out that a 4 am phone call to Mr. McGroom's room ain't going to wake up some marshmallow salesman on a business trip.

    Whaddaya re-taaaahhhh-did?

Hey Tommy Boy...what century are you living in?

Do you think any of these guys are that dumb? Cell phones do work pretty well with family. "No calls" means do your job. I doubt your manager friend is there at 4:00 am and would bite the hand that feeds him.

too bad you weren't there in Foxboro for the 4'th of July... it was OGHT and I going up to all the natives as saying (i hope you remember the simpsons episode) "Say Chowdah"

I like the people there. They were only slightly insulted and would usually respond.

We did lose that match 4-1, but we had a good time.

It's not nice to insult us Rev fans. Hell, with the way the Revs has played for the past 7 years those that follow them have proven that we are true soccer fans and thus deserving of respect. Besides people--lets remember--"the enemy of my enemy is my friend". Crew and Rev fans share a deep dislike of the crap dished out by the Fire-Flops and the Mutt-Turds. So be nice to us. After all we are hosting you at our gala tailgate party on 20 October.

I have nothing against Revs fans. They are so depressing (in a not bad way) that they make you feel really good inside.

They also make good steaktips.... yum yum yum.

We're just hurt because you didn't invite us to Spookyland. How old is "MaryAnn" anyway - 75? Will she wear that little short shirt?

NE fans by and large are really pretty cool. You've got some obnoxious buttwipes lately who come around being all chesty for some reason, but they sound like they're around 12 or 13 so they're easy to ignore.

NE fans have something going for them.

They ARE NOT Fire fans ;)
