He was more than good, he had a 3 or 4 year span where he was arguably in the top 5 GK's in the league. Great career and great servant of EFC. It was nice to see him given a proper farewell yesterday.

I hated when she did college BB, and I don't really watch much nba anymore. It's more about her voice than anything she says. Superficial I know, but it's like nails on a chalkboard for me. Ted Cruz is a smart guy, but I want stick ice picks in my ears every time he opens his mouth...ditto for Hillary.

Also, why does it take 3 analysts to call a game any more? They just need jobs for all the ex athletes?

Ya, there are some detailed analysis out there about each stat. I think if you couple the CS record with some XGA to GA ratio and a save percentage the cream will float to the top.

I guess Howard was good, but he just never passed the eye test for me maybe because we always scored so many against him and he wasn't very good against us so observation bias on my part:

Howard played really well (and was a good fit for) the USA and Everton. That was his level and he was very very good, it's nothing to sneeze at.

Just tuned into the end of the ManUre game. It was 3-0 with 1 min left in injury time. DeGea was set to join Cech as golden glove winner. Then an OG off of Smalling scuttled that. Cech is sitting pretty in sole possession of that award.

Also, today's win knocked Soton out of the last Europa league spot I believe.

The LVG saga should be interesting after this weekend's cup final.

OK. Good for them. Worthy representatives I'd say.
I looked it up and right now they have to still play qualification to get into EL. Or if United win FACup then Saints get an automatic in to EL group stage.

Wonder if Koeman will chance a deep EL campaign or just play it by ear, so to speak.

Just saw this vid of Eden Hazard with his son post-match. If there was any doubt that hazard is worthless as a human being, well this is exhibit A.

Wasn't that big a deal until he tripped him on purpose. Holy crap. What a garbage person. I've tripped my nephews by accident and it feels horrible. He just trips his own son on purpose and the kid's face smashes into the ball. No reaction.

I'll juke my kid all day long, but tripping, what a dick. I'm still surprised how little punishment he got for kicking the ball boy.

Lyon reject WHU £35m bid for Alexandre Lacazette. Idiots, no one will bid any higher than that!

Unless someone blows them away with an "FU money" offer (aka SEM), he's staying at Lyon.

My gut says Klopp and Co. pull it out. A touch of the Reds European magic, as it were. Plus I confess to wanting 'Pool to add to the English UEFA coefficient next year. (Sad it's come to that, but if I'm being honest...)

More importantly I think it should be for an entertaining game. Lots to play for, two clubs capable of some aggressive play, and St. Jakob's tends to foster a good atmosphere on big match days.
